ermm, actually I believe I'm a major... general
those who are incorrigibly prone to bon mots and engaging repartee, persons whom relish the dance of discourse and have a great wealth of stimulating/passionate things to share. (yawn, right?) Oh, and ....experts.
A fascinating fellow named Steven Patrick er,...um something, anything at all by M.Robinson, old/new Starlite Desperation, Bellavista, Junior Boys, N.O.U., the soundtrack to the 1939 Robbin Hood starring Errol Flynn, Dance Disaster Movement, early P.I.L., Walter/Wendy Carlos, Ornette Coleman, an instrumental by Young Marble Giants, Broun Fellinis, inna strange reflexive way parts of "English Settlement" from XTC, and then who can forget hometown heros such as Das Audience, Indian Summer, and Duster....oh dear, that's hardly a representative listing, damn... well, the thing is,...I dig the type of music that gets the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up, the pulse to quicken and/or compels one to frantically flail limbs( or simply extend arms out at a perfectly relaxed 90º, head impudently cocked back )with eyes closed...the kind of stuff you listen to once and never ever forget, ..Why?
I will just say for myself, that I have considered David Lynch's "DUNE" to be a perennial, albeit misunderstood masterpiece...and of course there is also the genius of Chris Marker's "Sans Soleil". Oh, and the movie that rather eloquently sums up my neurotic/vain life: "Stardust Memories"....
er, (whispering slowly, so as not to raise concern)...I don't have one.
For those of you out there who have dared to endure such silly and pretentious synopsi thus far, it won't be too heady of me to declare Thomas Pynchon's "Gravity's Rainbow", nor unexpected of me as well, to note "Infinite Jest" by David Foster Wallace, as immensely enjoyable reads.
...just for one day."
