Music first, then films Photography and art...and the Theater-studied acting for awhile. Modern and mid century design and architecture. I have been playing the guitar badly for such a long time but I love it. LOVE my Rickenbackers - 6 & 12 strings!!! I am also a political junkie and it drives me crazy. Restaurants-love to eat out. Really delicious wines....Massages.....the long and slow ones. And humour-really off the wall stuff. San Francisco and New York of course. And I Love MAKINS HATS..they are hand made in Manhattan!!!! And ADS Hats in San Francisco.

Also one or more of these (gotta be gin) but skip the vermouth...

mmmmm RICKENBACKERS

mmmmm COLORED VINYL

mmmmm MODERN

Music:

mmmmmm MUSIC

First there are two pieces of music that, hands down, are the two most icredibile sounds to my ears: Beethoven's Ode to Joy from his 9th Symphony and the Beatles' A Day in the Life, the final track on Sgt. Pepper....I could play them all day, really loud.....and The Beatles, The Rutles, The Kinks, Robert Johnson, Woody Guthrie, Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Mississippi John Hurt, Nick Cave, The Byrds, The Smiths, VU, Super Furry Animals, Calexico, Les Paul, The Band, Bob Dylan, Sonic Youth, Billy Bragg, Daniel Lanois, Tim and Jeff Buckley, Marty Robbins, Phil Ochs, Chuck Berry, Sly Stone, Funkadelic (60s & 70s Soul & Funk), Leonard Cohen, Pearls Before Swine, Fairport Convention, Crowded House and Finns, Gillian Welch, (SMOG) , Merle Haggard, Neil Young, Eels, Lester Young, Miles Davis, Mose Allison, Dr. John, Cab Calloway, Violent Femmes, Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, Esquivel, Belle and Sebastian, The Slits, Pink Floyd, Pretty Things, Mothers of Invention, Sonic Youth, Ray Charles, Harry Nilsson, Yma Sumac, Bessie Smith, Bix Beiderbecke, Yo Lo Tengo, Buddy Holly, Ricky Nelson-yes that Ricky Nelson, Nat King Cole, Johnny Cash, Ry Cooder, Gram Parsons, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Big Star, Sex Pistols, The Damned, Randy Newman, XTC, Danger Mouse, James Brown, Bille Holiday, Joni Mitchell, Delaney & Bonnie, Patti Smith, Procol Harum, Donovan Rules!, Van Morrison, Kronos Quartet, Rachels, Harry Partch, Tallis Scolars, the Clash, Bruce Springsteen, The Smiths, Tiny Tim, Paul Revere and the Raiders (KICKS), David Sylvian, Jolie Holland, the Zombies, Penn & Mann, Young Marble Giants, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Julie London (the sexiest voice ever), Mel Torme,The Mills Brothers, Ravi Shankar (and lots if Indian music), Beethoven, Wagner, Dubussy, Bach...But wait, there's more: . Jens Leckman, Songs: Ohia, Arcade Fire, Devandra Banhardt, Fiery Furnaces, Rachel's, Scout Niblet, Coco Rosie, DJ Shadow, Thievery Corp, U.N.K.L.E., Warren Zevon (RIP), Punk at the MAB.

I also think that COLORED VINYL is so very sexy. Oh yes and Kate Bush....Yea fuck you...I love Kate Bush!!! My 80GB iPod if full of music so when will a 100GB one come out? And almost anything played on the Theramin or the mellotron.

I am also such a sucker for the sound of a twelve string electric guitar. Especially anything played on a Rickenbacker. I mean there really is no other 12 string.
