I typically keep my friends in a tight knit unit so I can't say I let a lot of people in that circle on a real intimate level but I enjoy conversation with anyone who has something interesting and stimulating to talk about.
Maxwell, Sade, Amel Larriuex, Hil St. Soul, Craig David, N'Dea Davenport, Eryka Badu, Common, Calvin Richardson and on and on and on. I like the real old school like Etta James and Otis Redding and of course Marvin Gaye. Rap I like if you take it old school. Can't get down with much these days but take me back to Tribe Called Quest, EPMD, Redman, Outkast any ole day or if it is recent Common, Roots, Ceelo Green, Talib Kweli, etc.!
Oh how I love movies... so many how do I choose favorite? Scarface, the Godfather series, Once Upon A Time in America, Resevoir Dogs and pretty much any good gangster flick. Like the drama's occasionally from Joy Luck Club (which gets me everytime), Steel Magnolias, The Notebook. Quentin Tarantino is a genius in my book and I will watch ANYTHING that he has a part in, well with the exception of Dusk To Dawn series and maybe a few others. I like independent films and the best one of late has to be Maria Full of Grace.
HBO HBO HBO!!!!! Other than that I am ashamed to admit what I find myself watching at times so I will leave it broad and general just to say that I am a reality TV junkie.
I read every single opportunity that I can get and will try a lot of books - but mystery's generally are always around. Must reads - Da Vinci Code or most of any of his actually. Any Janet Evanovich book as they are absolutely hilarious, Bernice McFadden, James Patterson, Dennis Lehane, E. Lynn Harris, Nelson Demille, Eric Jermone Dickey and Gary Hardwick are all on the watch list and I buy them as fast as they can write them, which of course is never fast enough.
