Yep...been in the music business a day or two. My first professional gig was as a sound designer for the only Equity theatre in Virginia called the Hayloft Dinner Theatre. Eventually I opened a recording studio in Manassas known as Soundpig Productions where I recorded and produced acts of all styles including The Sunmonkeys, Screaming Amebas, Hobbs & Partners, The Batersby Duo, AAE and too many to remember with this old brain! Currently I am engineering and producing independently in Washington DC and Nashville. Recently I have had the good fortune to work with Nashville's finest including John Huey of Conway Twitty fame and the crew of Nashville Star including Megan Mullins on fiddle, Pat Severs and John Bolinger on guitar. The last go-round I worked with Grand Ole Opry fiddle player Hoot Hester and my favorite Modern Country drummer Paul Scolton of County Q. I also engineer on the road for the Wil Gravatt Band. Thru the years I have produced for many bands and have experience with many styles of music. I am also a drummer and have played Blues with The Jailtones and The Mudsharks, Country with Marge Calhoun & The New Heartaches, Country/Rock with Southern Uprising, Jazz with Levi Byrd. I have engineered live for AAE Awareness Art Ensemble, Ray Kennedy, Matracia Berg (didn't go so well, showed up to blown gear on site but I took my lumps!), Gene Donati Orchestra as well as acts from Bob Hope to Gwar (who by the way were very POLITE!) Gotta luv it.

For the Record... Everybody needs someone to look up to in this business as an example to follow. Mine is Ray Kennedy. He has been a source of guidance and the occasional hard truth that helps pave the way for new adventures. Thanks Ray!
