I love live music. I moved back to southern california from Marin County-that's just over the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco for those who don't know- and I'm missing it so much! But with life comes changes and here I am. I was a bartender for 12 years up there. I've had surgery on my neck on St. Patrick's Day 2006.They replaced the disc between the 5th & 6th cer. vert. with some dead guys bone and placed a metal plate in front with 4 screws. My friend Wendy says I now have a "Bionic" neck! At least it made me laugh when I felt like crying!! And Slowly, more slowly than I'd like that's for sure! I'm feeling more like myself! I'm just really happy to be working again after everything I've been thru these past 3 years with this injury.The best part is I no longer take 3 different pills 3 times a day just to keep myself sane from the pain!! Now most times tylenol is all I need! That's a big improvement!! When I'm not working and have the energy... I'm out dancing to blues,rock,bluegrass anything that moves my feet. Music is the freedom of the soul, the speech of the ages, the sage of our time..... Quick update... it's Feb. 18th 2008 and I'm going under the knife one last time... again on St. Patrick's Day!! But I'll have the metal plate and screws taken out and I'll won't worry about setting of metal detectors!! LOL!! Now I'm looking for a new carrer to go to school for that will expand the mind and wallet,,,hopefully 8~) Still missing terriably my friends and favorite haunts in Marin. I hope to be home soon!!.
