The Lindsay Erin Project

About Me

Lindsay Erin is a rising star among the new talent of 2010! Already, after only one year of performing her music for live audiences, she has won her first award as Best Rock and Pop Newbee in the 2009 USA4Real Music Awards (as well as being the online radio sites featured artist for December 2009), been named one of the top 5 vocalists in the January 2010 issue of SingerUniverse Magazine, and has recently completed her first nationwide tour! Lindsay Erin's unique voice is both strong and textured with a touch of blues and a measure of jazz with lyrics that are both personal and universal, and melodies that are at once complex and approachable. Recognized for her talents at a young age through early theater, dance and music training, Lindsay later developed a love and understanding for world music, particularly Indian classical, and had the incredible honor of studying vocals with the late Maestro Ali Akbar Khan in his last three years of teaching at his college in Marin County, CA. She also began studying jazz and blues piano in the past year with the illustrious Bill "The Jazz Professor" Bell and performs as a first soprano in his Oakland Bay Area Community Choir. She maintains that she owes her every success to her many teachers and mentors and with her husband/drummer/engineer/producer, Paul Ezekiel, by her side she is becoming unstoppable.
