Good evening ladies and gentlemen...

About Me

I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
Hi. I'm Robyn. I live in NC with my husband, our two sons, two dogs (Miller and Trinka), and our kitty. I'm originally from Miami, Florida. It makes me a little sad that my sons won't grow up there but I'm happy that so far we have a pretty good life here in NC. I miss my family...even the ones I only got to see once or twice a year. I want to finish college. I'd dearly love to teach high school or college English-Literature. I'm slowly but surely putting my life together. It's kind of like a puzzle where sometimes the pieces look like they belong but they don't really fit and you have to find the ones from the pile that correspond with their own spot. I'm trying to regain a piece of myself that I gave away unconditionally...and it was me who squandered that gift.I like to read and am a bit of a book worm. My son also likes to 'read'. I consider this a good thing.Other than being a mom I work six days a week at a job I like but don't love. I wish it paid more. I wish I loved it.Basically, I'm just me. I like 'ethnic' foods. I'm quiet...and shy. Reserved. I'm sarcastic...some say witty. I think I'm just cynical. :o) and I'm nice. I also have a wonderful group of friends who don't really fall into any one category of type of people. I like their diversity.

My Interests

Foreign films, family, friends, human rights, music, books, art, history, running, floor plans, clothes, fashion, sports, cultures, travel, etc.

I'd like to meet:

People who are true to who they are.

Music:

I like: rock, pop, hip hop, country, classical, jazz, punk, music from foreign countries and in random languages, soundtracks... I like music.

Movies:

But I'm a Cheerleader, Pride and Prejudice, Amelie, The Piano, Grave of the Fireflies, Saved!...I like a lot of movies but my all time favorite (since I was a little girl) is The Last Unicorn (not to be confused with Legend that stars Tom Cruise).

Television:

I really like educational programs, DIY, documentaries... If I have to watch TV I make sure I'm learning more than I'm losing.

Books:

::sigh:: Books... :o) If you know me even a little bit, you know I like books. (Okay, I love books.) I've only ever had one friend who read as much as I did and she's in Oregon now. I miss her. I think my top five are: The Last Unicorn (written BEFORE the movie), Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, The Tale of Genji (thank you Andrew), and The Devil's Arithmetic.

Heroes:

Everyone is a hero in their own right...in their own way.
