I work as an artist at a videogame company. I enjoy the job. I don't spend as much time playing videogames as my coworkers. I like junior mints and ketchup, but usually not at the same time.

My Interests

drawing, writing, reading, 3d modeling, learning to animate (this could be going better), video games, comics (esp. small/ind. press), hiking, walking, learning.

nick cave, beck, magnetic fields, ennio morricone. heck yeah... ennio morricone. damien rice, leonard cohen, beatles, pink floyd. Lately I've been stuck on a thomas newman kick.

Movies:

Anything Kurosawa. Amelie, life is beatiful, audrey hepburn, most cameron films (but not all). Pixar stuff, of course. Tremors (for all it's cheesy glory), all the Muppets flicks, horrible horrible horrible kung fu movies, la strada, shawshank, etc. stephan chow and miyasaki, gilliam and jeunet.

Books:

Lonesome Dove (I'm a sucker for epics), shogun, heller, fitzgerald, voltaire, george RR martin, nostalgic children's books, poetry and philosophy, bukowski, neruda. norton juster.

Heroes:

Tishiro Mifune, fellini, sam keith, voltaire, Kwan Sai huang, Stephen Hawkins, craig thompson, james kochalka, frank cho, john carmack, ennio morricone,the ca crew, my siblings
