About Me

Hi, I'm KlarkE.Clarke, AKA Dáithí O'Cleirigh...welcome to MySpace, where I'll be updating you on my various projects as percussionist, rhythmatist, and musical arranger. As a session drummer I've had the privilege to work alongside many of Dublin and Ireland's most prodigious performers and composers, as well as a whole host of other excellent producers and engineers. Here you can find reference to a wide variety of video and album material from some of my favorite Dublin based recording sessions with Pete Pamf and the Pussy Assed Mother Fuckers, The Dub Posse (ft. Kool Deroy), The Walls, and The Racketeers. As well as these excellent and notorious artists, other bands of note I've recorded, performed and toured with might include Loose Booty, Bird, The Funky Souls, Keltic Posse, Loose Booty Drummers, Fresh Greens, and many more. I've specialized in recording, live performance and touring, and on each project I record or perform with, I create a groove and feel thats distinctly original in style and sonic delivery. The Soul Family video posted below was recorded at a performance in Kuudes Linja, Helsinki, with some of Finland's finest new generation of musicians, and exemplifies the rare groove and dynamic curve of my cross-over through acoustic and digital soul rhythms. There's a selection of miniature video players showing a selection of both live and studio tracks with a variety of bands from a variety of countries. Various other international work is available through my Helsinki based site via the link to Dáithí Ò'Cleirigh listed in my friends below. This includes a TV Documentary produced by Finland National Television YLE based on the production behind the creation of the Canadian Grammy nominated album 'Ulodi' by Native Groove artists Wabanag. Welcome, these are just some of my recent projects, I hope you enjoy the site and find links to nice music...

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: KlarkE.Clarke.com
Band Members: ..when I'm performing in Ireland I play Pearl Session Elite Maple Custom Drums with Zildjian K Cymbals. When touring abroad I endorse Gretsch Catalina Birch Drums with Gibraltar Hardware, and I use Sabian Signature Cymbals and ProMark Sticks. My Gretsch Catalina acoustic drums were provided by Peter Harjunpää at Espoon Mussiiki Helsinki, stick support is from Jukka Suomalainen at Fazer Music. Everywhere I go I use Roland Electronics TDI6 module with VDrums, Rolands R5 Human Rhythm Composer, far too many Boss pedals, with my acoustic drums linked through classic DDrum triggers. When operating in Dublin, I'm available for one to one tuitions and open classes. For session work, studio production, live performance, demo or arrangement, please contact me through my messages box above.
