I'm half-Korean-part Hawaiian, Japanese, German and Chinese army brat with roots planted firmly on Maui and through out the 808...I've always been the type guy to seek out excitement just as much as I enjoy being lazy and laid back. I've always been one to go down my own path in life. I never believed in following the crowd. Instead I like to explore things on my own and in my own way. I believe that dedication and hardwork pays off. You may not see the rewards immediately but with a patient mind and attitude you will eventually get what you deserve. I strongly believe in karma and yes it is a bitch.I strive, on the daily, to be the very best I can be. I'm very driven and determined and a self-starter. I've become a pro at proving people wrong and turning negatives into positives.I love kids, helping others in need see and enjoy those that reach there potential. I'm open, honest and believe in treating people how I would like to be treated. Other than most of my strengths also being my flaws. I also tend to move too fast instead of taking a breath and letting things develop. I'm also too observant for my own good and sometimes over anxious when I get hyped up.I'm a good listener, sometimes blunt with the advice I give and looked upon as a big brother to those I care for. I'm at my very best when i'm spontaneous and in control of a situation. I'm at my worst when I over-think, over-analyze and don't go with my instincts and heart.My passion for writing simply developed from my personal interests. At the Univ of Hawaii it was sports which later crossed over to music, entertainment and nightlife. My goal is always to write from a fans perspective, from the inside. Whatever the topic I always right from the heart. Everyone is interesting and has a story to share.I've been covering the Honolulu nightlife for the Honolulu Weekly for three years now mainly focusing on the local hip hop scene, nightspots and the deejay scene.I've had the esteemed priviledge and honor of interviewing Talib Kweli, Slum Village, Prev of Swollen Members..On the deejay tip, I've interviewed Q-bert, A-Trak, Roc Raida, Rhettmatic, Craze, Da Rude, Donald Glaude, Christopher Lawrence, Dieselboy, Superstar DJ Dmitri just to name a few..and the journey continues....TO BE CONTINUED
