Photography is at the very center of my life. It has been since I got my first camera at age 9. I shoot for my own artistic expression as well as shoots for weddings and events. I have worked for various couples in the Portland area and with the Astoria Warrenton Chamber of commerce.
I work both in black and white hand developed hand printed and sometimes hand colored 35mm and 120mm films as well as digital slr.
Most of my artistic photography draws from personal experience and inner feelings, but then I think most photographers are the same way.
I currantly have several different sets in process for my first show. The sets draw from childhood memories of horror and sci-fi imagery as well as actuall life happenings that seem to leave that familiar yet all to uncomfortable feeling one gets as a child at various times. I hope to re-stir those memories and feelings in my viewers and my first show, while probubly strange to many, will be a sort proof positive if I have succeeded in doing so, or not.
