Recently I Just Hit The 20 Year Old Mark In Life, Which No Longer Makes Me A Teen And Brings Me To Venting On My Past And Thinking Back On All The Crazy Times I've Had. Within The Past 20 Years I'Ve Seen More Then I Could Ever Imagine, I've Done More Then I Thought I Was Capable Of Doing..
I Was Always Told To Enjoy The Power And Beauty Of My Youth, And Don't Just Let My Days Easily Pass.. Yet Most People Will Not Understand That Until Everything Has Long Since Faded. But Trust Me, In 20 Years You'll Look Back At Photos Of Yourself And Recall In A Way You Can't Grasp The Things Of Your Past.. I Don't Waste Time On Jealousy.. Cause I've Learned, Sometimes You're Ahead, Sometimes You're Behind, The Race Is Long, And In The End It's Only With Yourself. I Remember The Compliments I Receive, Yet I Forget The Insults... Whatever I Do, I Don't Congratulate Myself Too Much Or Berate Myself Either - I Know My Choices Are Half Chance, So Are Everybody Else's. I Never Forgive And Forget, I Forgive And Remember, Because I'll Never Know When I May Need The Experience. I Enjoy My Body, I Use It Every Way That I Can, I'M Not One Who Is Afraid Of It Or What Other People Think Of It, It's The Greatest Instrument I'll Ever Own. They Say You Are What You Eat, So Lately I've Tried To Eat Healthy Foods.. "Organtic" I've Learned That In Life It's A Must To Get To Know Your Parents, You'll Never Know When They'll Be Gone For Good. Be Nice To Your Siblings, They Are The Best Link To Your Past And The People Most Likely To Stick With You In The Future. Like I Was Once Told By My Brother "Understand That Friends Come And Go", But For The Precious Few You Should Hold On. Work Hard To Bridge The Gaps In Geography And In Lifestyle, Because The Older You Get The More You Need The People You Knew When You Were Young. Live In Minnesota Once, But Leave Before It Makes You Hard, Live In Northern California Once, But Leave Before It Makes You Soft. Like Atmosphere, Try And Find The Balance. And Travel Like The Wind. Accept Certain Inalienable Truths, Prices Will Rise, Politicians Will Philander, You Too Will Get Old.. And When You Do You'll Fantasize That When You Were Young Prices Were Reasonable, Politicians Were Noble And Children Respected Their Elders. Don't Expect Anyone Else To Support You. Maybe You Have A Trust Fund, Maybe You Come From A Wealthy Fam, But You Never Know When Either One Might Run Out.. Be Careful Who's Advice You Buy, But Be Patient With Those Who Supply It. Advice Is A Form Of Nostalgia, Dispensing It Is A Way Of Fishing The Past From The Disposal, Wiping It Off, Painting Over The Ugly Parts And Recycling It For More Than It's Worth. Be Happy That You Have Life, And Live It. Weather It's On The News Or In The News Paper You See, Hear, Or Read Every~Day About Yet Another Young Person Who's Life Was Cut Short Due To An Unfortunate Circumstance. Don't Fall Victim To Being Just Another Person, Always Remeber Life Is What You Make It To Be. So Do Your Best To Make The Best Of It! Live A Legacy So It Will Carry On When You Are Gone.
