About Me
Mr. Illmannered is the co-owner and founder of Apt.3/DNA Entertainment, one of the last remaining hardcore mobb rap labels left in the Bay Area. He founded it with the Godfather of Bay Area Rap COUGNUT ( RIP ) and promoted it with the now out of print magazine devoted soley to Bay Rap, Apartment 3. He teamed up with local Horrorcore legend ADR of Triple 6 and Big Ant of DNA. Together, they went on to produce and distribute 13 independent releases with international distribution. Apt.3/DNA Ent has worked with or done shows with nearly every major factor in the Bay Area scene and beyond - from 4-Tay, Cougnut and C-Fresh ( IMP ), 2Pac's Outlawz, Suga Free, Mac Dre, Fat Joe, Tech N9ne, Brotha Lynch Hung, Spice-1, Too Short, Ray Luv, RBL, Yukmouth, 11/5...the list goes on and on. Approaching our 10 year anniversary, Apt.3/DNA Ent remains a staple of Bay Area Rap that boasts quality and strong anti-music-recycling beliefs.
Wanting to expand horizons, Mr. Illmannered began Apt.4 Productions with former Apt.3/DNA Ent artist Malice and associate Tom Belushi. Although the company is still in it's infant stages, Apt.4 ( in association with Apt.3/DNA Ent ) has released Malice "The Redo" and the "Known Associates 2 / Theme Music To Drug Dealins and Killins" double compilation. That album features all new and unheard songs from Cougnut (RIP) and C-Fresh of IMP, 11/5, Woodie (RIP), Totally Insane, Baldhead Rick of UNLV, Cellski, Dutch, Malice, Mars, ADR, Cold World Hustlers, Young D Boyz, South Central Cartel, Louie Loc, Big Mack, Tom Belushi and many more, not to mention a remastered second disc of the infamous "Theme Music To Drug Dealins and Killins" compilation that has been long out of print since 2005.
For the Horrorcore fans, Mr. Illmannered teamed up with horror master MARS of Mad Insanity to launch www.mir-store.com for all your horrorcore clothing, cds, MP3 downloads and merchandise needs.
