Influences: ..
My strongest influences come from all of the "Real" music i heard growing up from the seventies. Artists such as: Isley Brothers, Parliament Funkadelick, Barry White, Rick James, Commodores, Zapp & Roger Troutman, Earth Wind & Fire, The Gap Band, Prince and so on. Then my life changed when I heard a song called "Planet Rock" I was hella young but I knew this was huge I had never heard nothing like it before. My cousin Jerry was exposing me to this new music left and right. Run-DMC, Kurtis Blow The Fat Boys, The treachorous 3. Man this new shit was amazing! Soon that was all I knew. Then It changed again... I heard this guy named Too $hort I was young and it was not acceptable to hear music with profanity in it but the basslines were so strong I needed it. I was hooked. Then came Eazy-E & N.W.A those beats were incredible. I used to sneak to listen to this new "Music" that no one believed would become the highest grossing form of entertainment today. Lastly I heard this dominant voice it was like..... scary nah better yet furious my boy Mike was on this nigga tough I asked him who it was he told me COOLNUT. I'm rollin as the title of the song. Then another one came Called "Scandolous". That's when I found out the name was "COUGNUT". I was on him from there out until rap just exploded! It was everywhere. D.O.C ,D.J. Quik, X-Clan, B.D.P , Ice-T, LL Cool J, Beastie Boys, Big Daddy Kane man the list goes on I was turned out. Other than my foundation my biggest influences are: The Enhancer & T.C. They taught me everything I know about makin' beats. Cougnut for hookin' me up with them after he heard 2-11's 1st song "Somethin' Smooth". My Cousin Jerry for introducing me to the art of the D.J. and turning me out with RAP.... THE LOVE OF MY BEING!!
Sounds Like: "NOTHIN YOU'VE EVER HEARD BEFORE"!!
