About Me

My name is Matthew, Matthew David, Matt-izzle, Mattitude, Purple Hayes, Hayes-oy, Mattius (copyrighted by Sir Slaught), and/or Matt-Matt-Matt (you have to sing it). If you haven't already, go ahead and pick one. ------------------------------------------------ As far as nationality goes: I'm a mostly-Irish, part Native American, mutt. I'm pretty sure most of my family doesn't even know what we are 100%. However I was born in Germany and lived on the AirForce base in Ramstein for about 4 years of my life, after which we stayed in San Angelo, Texas for 1 year. Then we moved here to Chicago! Where I've stayed for the past 15 years of my life. -------------------------------------------------------- Anyone who really knows me, knows I love music. I love to listen to it. I love to write it. I love to perform it. It's my chosen medium, or am I it's chosen medium? I can play a variety of horns (trumpet-tuba), saxophone, piano, some drums... but my real passion is the guitar and vocals. I love how the vocals and guitar accompany each other perfectly. I write songs about whatever I feel inspired by, but so far only a few have heard my self-written songs. I will be travelling soon, and hope to gain some life experience from being in the Air Force, and also some inspiration for my music. It's the only way I can truly come alive and express myself. --------------------------------------------------- I love to go downtown, and just look at the city. There's a special spot my friends and I know about, where we go to just relax. I go there as much as possible... just to see the city at night, and just how alive it seems... it's a sight that cannot be easily described. ---------------------------------------------- My favorite place to see the sunset/rise though is at a camp I used to work at in Michigan. Sometimes when I have a day or two off, I'll make the drive up there just to see a sunset. I really wish I could share the experience of being on that beach during the summer at sunset with everyone. -----------------------------------------------Although I am just getting deep into the veins of the city I so love, I want to dig as deep as possible. Chicago really is the center of the country, a true example of the melting pot. Chicago still has many mysteries, wonders, and stories to be discovered... and I plan to become as fimiliar with it and its living social structure as much as possible. I LOVE this city, I LOVE, the people in it, and I LOVE how much it has to offer.------------------------------------------------------ ---------------Obviously, I'm Iron Man. WHAT THE F*&^!!!???---------------------------------------------- --------------------------------Your results:

I can only hope to grow to be half of the man either of them are. (Hugs to grandpa in heaven).
