Welcome to my Paradox.
Forget everything you thought you knew about me and allow me to show you the real me. A select few have ever been able to really understand me. I sure hope you can handle it.
My Background:
I grew up in Santa Barbara which really spoils you because it’s basically perfect. I lived 10 blocks from the beach and 2 blocks from the main core of downtown. I was in band for 7 years. Know how to play over 6 different musical instruments. I took jazz dancing for 6 years. Took swimming for 1 year. I grew up with DOS and Mainframes. (Don’t worry if the last part doesn’t make sense.)
Currently:
I started working at my current job 4 years ago and have worked my way up to Master Stylist.
My Personality:
I have learned that I don't fit into any stereotype. Just as soon as I start to fall into one I do something that is so out of character it dismisses the stereotype. I’m easy going. Not up tight and pretty laid back. I don’t sweat the small stuff and have learned its important to learn to laugh at yourself from time to time. You can’t take life to seriously.
My EGO:
I’m down to earth. Probably a little to much so. General opinion construes Go-go dancing as an ego trip (which is one of the things I do on the side). The truth is, its just fun. Definitely a unique experience, but it doesn't define who I am. It takes a lot of balls to have everyone look at you and not to feel self conscience about yourself and just have fun. It’s extremely hard to do, but oh so much fun.
Confidence isn’t the same as having an ego. I am confident about myself and that sometimes gets construed as being cocky, but in reality I'm just comfortable. I'm just trying to be me, I guess you can either accept that or not, either way it doesn’t matter to me.
The road to self acceptance is long and hard. The most important thing I've learned is to love yourself, expecially before you try to love someone else. In a partner they also must accept themselves for who they are and not try to be something they aren't.
In my free time:
You will find me at the gym, gun range or out and about over town. Just to name a few. My hobbies cover a broad spectrum and I find the most important thing is not to ever limit ones self. I do believe in taking care of ones body and barely drink as it isn’t that healthy.
What I look for in a partner:
Someone who stands for something. If you don't stand for something you will fall for anything. I look for somewhat of an activist. Someone who doesn't want to fit in the mold society has given them and firmly believes in their rights and to make a difference. Not just to be another nameless face in the crowd. These are things that I also attest to and rules by which I live by.
One thing that I can not stand is ignorance and selfishness. People who live like they are the only ones living on this earth are truly deluded.
I love gadgets. Also I love children. Where as most don't. I don't quite understand that. I'm quite puzzled by anyone who hates/dislikes Children as they are wonderful.
My current status:
If I wanted just to have someone just to have someone I wouldn't be single. I believe in quality over quantity. I would rather be single and enjoy life then stuck in a situation which I'm not completely happy in. Saying that, I do love going on dates with different people. They can be quite fun and you get to meet people and do things you probably wouldn't have done before.
I tend to stand alone in the sex aspect. I mean don't get me wrong, sex is fun and all, but I don't enjoy it. Call me old fashion but intimacy is far better then the best sex.
