You won't find a great many fancy HTML codes/CSS modules to make the page look fancy on here and take half a century to load. (Not even the Top 16 or 20 one, I'm too old school and lazy. But I might get to that one eventually.) I'm one of the biggest geeks you'll ever meet yet I don't have those. Not terribly fond of this "copy and paste" mentality of today. Read my blog for the mini-rant about that! So you won't find fancy images, you'll find rants more or less.
Quite sadly college is dominating my life. I feel like pulling the trigger half the time til I remember that the reason I'm stuck in it is so at least someone in the scene can take over in owning and operating a venue. Go ahead and give me all the shit you want: I've heard it all before. Sellout, not keeping the skinhead faith, that I'm selfish...uh huh. You'll all be kissing my ass trying to get me to book your crappy band or put you on a guestlist when my venue's up and running. That, and I've worked harder in this college bullshit than any job I've ever had. I spend most of the time feeling like jabbing sharp objects in my brain. I don't study/work in this shit for any great love of taxation, bookkeeping, and the system but just because I pretty much have to.
I am the one and only Ghetto Byrd. The only skingal in the Bx to date. Damn straight that title goes to my head. :P And I am one of the top ruling socialites in this godforsaken city and will remain so until my death.
So if you know me, you know the deal. If you pretty much don't, well... New York Hardcore, Oi!, and Streetpunk is my fucking life and going to and playing shows are my basic raison d'être. No more, no less. Honor, pride, and loyalty to my friends, family, music, and what I believe in, and FUCK the lot of douchebags who judge me when they don't fucking know me. Shit-talkers and back-stabbers need not apply, same with those whose friends change week-to-week based on something really fucking stupid.
For the record I'm more a hardcore byrd rather than on the reggae/northern soul side of the skinhead spectrum. Like and respect both types of music. But I'm more aggressive and in your face in case you can't tell.
My life basically revolves around my axe, bands (I'm currently on bass in Dealin With It), trying to finish college a few years overdue, my family, and my friends who are the closest to blood family I can have at this point in my life.
