Horror was formed in Albuquerque, NM in 2002 by Nick Linke (Manias, Victimas) with the help of Tony Hayes and a handy drum machine, with a variety of different members, but no solid line-up. With more attention geared towards playing bass in the technical deathmetal act known as Victimas, Nick had no choice but to put the project on the back burner.
Later in 2006 Horror was reformed with a brand new line up consisting of Tony Hayes on vocals, Paul Stapleton (Debirth) on bass, and Daniel Herrera (Manias) on other lead guitar. With the band having a brighter potential Nick decided to start getting Horror more out in the open. Towards the end of 2006 things started to get sour between Tony and Nick, and Tony ended up leaving the band.
Horror played it's first show after several years in Santa Fe, NM without Tony, and Nick doing all front man vocals. Then in 2007 with the departure of Paul Stapleton, Horror was in the process of recording their first demo, Mass Destruction Oasis, when former Horror member Justin Cassin (Inverted Crucifixion, Sadistic prod.) Joined the band on vocals, along with Mike McCarty (Ephemeral Existence) joining on the bass.
In 2008 the first full length was released, titled Mass Destruction Oasis under Maniacal prod., with a great deal of help from the engineer of the CD Andrew "ManÃas" Ruiz (Manias, Black End Future, Gobs of Flesh).
In early 2009 Justin left the band and Horror continued as a three piece with Nick doing lead vocals and Mike doing backup vocals. At the end of 2009 founding member/vocalist Tony Hayes rejoined the band. Soon after, with Daniel no longer able to participate with the band Mike switched from bass to 2nd guitar. Tony soon left the band as well. Horror is currently in the process of recording a pre-production demo for the second full length release.
