The History:
Tankdawg Dre was brought into the world in 1987 as D'Andre Owens. He was the class clown as a child, torn between a father who has been in and out of prison & a mother who stayed between jobs. Following his father's footsteps, Dre has been attracted into the depths of street life since he was 9 years old. With his parents not around much at that time, his dear grandmother showed guidance for young D'Andre. She believed that He was a Man since birth. So with that in mind, she let Dre learn the ropes of struggle on his own. He then started to discover the Metro slums at his own will.
It hasn't been an easy journey for the young man. At age 16 he was arrested, trialed as an adult and sentenced to 10 years due to stress from the the death of his grandfather William "Tomcat" Owens, and the murder of his right hand companion Montez "D-Beanz" Wheeler. Both of the loses made it hard for him to stay on the right track. They both made him make a very unwise choice. Due to good conduct in the Lee County Adjustment Center, Tankdawg Dre was then released/probated at age 20. It hasn't yet been a full year since his release, but he has gotten his head into the books and now trying to walk a straight line. He Recently Obtained his High School Diploma at tha grown up age of 20 years at Breckinridge High School. Through all of the years of pain due to drugs, murder, violence, and institutionalism, It is plain to see that Tankdawg Dre is a product of the streets.
With high hopes of becoming a world known producer/rapper, Tankdawg Dre Is working Hard to Spread Through the masses and make it to the top.
