His Word (NEW SONGS!)

About Me

His Word was formed in 2002 and they began their ministry by playing at concerts, festivals, coffee houses, conferences, summer camps, and retreats in southwest and central Florida. His Word strives to make everyone in the audience a part of their music. Their unique combination of worship and rock has been influenced by worship driven artists including Chris Tomlin, Third Day, Jeremy Camp, and Building 429. Their goal is to bring people closer to Christ through their own original Christian-based music. In 2007, the band released their debut CD, Silent, Bold and True, and was selected as a semi-finalist in Band with a Mission, a national Christian music talent search sponsored by Fervent Records. In 2008, His Word continued its success and opened for national Christian recording artists, StorySide B and Paul Colman, former lead guitarist for the Newsboys.
In 2009 the band has been a featured artist on 91.9 Call FM (Miami/the Keys/SW Florida) on their Thursday night locally grown Indie Show. His Word was recently selected to play at the Waves of Glory at the Orlando, Florida attraction, Wet-n-Wild. They are also in the studio recording new songs.
Brian Overton is the lead vocalist and bass player for His Word. The other members of the band include rhythm guitarist, J.R. Rehm, lead guitarist, Ben Bowman, and Omar Renderos on drums. The band is from Seminole, Florida.
If you wish any additional information about the band, please contact them at [email protected]. Some of the songs from their debut CD can be heard on www.myspace.com/hisword. For booking contact Rev Music Group at [email protected].
