Bokaata are an edgy and infectious Schizo-Rock trio that were formed in the summer of 2007 in the suburban depths of Cambridgeshire. From the ashes of numerous bands and a music scene that left them despondent; Gavin Bates, Charlie Howell and Craig Conkie hid themselves away for months and worked relentlessly on the songs that would define the Bokaata sound.Fuelled by Gavin's love of the Manics, Nietzsche and Orwell, Charlie's obsession with samples and gadgets and Craig's complex and powerful rhythms, they burst onto the Cambridge scene in January 2008 with their first gig at the Barfly.With no sound check, untested electronica and a packed and expectant venue, Bokaata finally stormed on stage and blew the doors off the whole thing.Harmony.
