Mark Dandridge

This is the universe, big isn't it?

About Me

I was born in Oxford, then grew up in a very small village in Oxfordshire (it was initially in the county of Berkshire but the boundaries changed). Obviously, I moved away from there as soon as I could. I lived in Oxford for a few years before moving to London, which has been my home for the the past 17 years. For a living I currently work in TV Production.

My Interests

Art history, architecture, film, travel, music, television and many things that can capture my attention unexpectedly.............

I'd like to meet:

Strangers but not too many though.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

Music:

Rather than list all and sundry, I thought I would imagine myself in a pub type scenario. Over in the corner there is a jukebox - much like the best possible ipod - it features all of my favourite songs of all time. I approach the machine, put in the pound, dollar, euro and select the following 10 for starters:America - Razorlight, Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before - The Smiths, Union City Blues - Blondie, Creep - Radiohead Police & Thieves - Jnr Murvin, Kraftwerk - Radioactivity, Virginia Plain - Roxy Music, Lorelei - The Cocteau Twins, Another One Bites The Dust - Clint Eastwood & General Saint, I Fall To Pieces - Patsy Cline. Some of these choices may, of course, change in time but many will stay for a long time to come.

I edited my profile with Thomas€™ Myspace Editor V3.6 !

............

Movies:

A small selection would be: A Night On Earth, Billy Liar, Paris Texas, Victim, Some Like It Hot, My Life As A Dog, Airplane, Une Femme Et Une Femme, Strangers On A Train, The Out Of Towners and Wish You Were Here

Television:

Top Of The Pops (pre-late '90s), The Six Million Dollar Man, The Banana Splits, Flipper, Champion The Wonder Horse, Six Feet Under, The Good Life, Top Cat, Frasier, Wacky Races, A Place In The Sun, George & Mildred, Soap, BBC News 24. ............

Heroes:

I don't have any at the moment.

My Blog

Royal Wee

'She works so hard!' Somebody else has said it. If I had a penny for everytime I heard somebody say that 'The Princess Royal... Anne... she works so hard', then I could probably manage to buy Clarence...

Whatever Became Of Joe?

He left Leeds. Experimented with hair colour and once, accidentally, set fire to a skip. Quite an eventful life for one so young. Slightly mental, with potential and often experimental. Chipper. Who ...

A Call For Poodles To Streak

I haven't really got much to say at the moment but that doesn't stop many young Americans, so I shall continue. The first week of January has passed already and I was thinking today about what has ma...

Virtually Friends

This week I have managed to make it past the 100 friends mark. This was never a target of mine. I did, once-upon-a-time, delete quite a few 'friends', as I saw little point in having people's faces a...

Farewell To The Family Saloon

The Family Saloon left Homer Drive, London E14 for the last time today. It/she, I think it's an it and void of a particular gender, so I'll refer to her as it from here on in. The Family Saloon,...

Having A Barclays

It takes a lot to get my goat. I kid you not. However, I am fed up with having to read about how brilliant people who work at Barclays Bank are. I use Canary Wharf tube on a daily basis, usually twice...

Yesterday morning, whilst waiting for the tube at Canary Wharf Station, something I do most mornings from Monday to Friday, I put my ipod on 'Shuffle Songs'. I recently bought the new Morrissey CD and...

Statistically Sickly

It has to be said that I dont spend much time in the West End these days. The novelty wears off with the years. However, on Friday night I went into town to meet my brother and nephew for a drink in...
