Having been influenced by a musical family,I began singing at age five. I started teaching myself bass at age fourteen when I was inspired by various artists in Rock, Progressive Rock, Blues, R&B, Funk Soul and Fusion. I studied music theory with Schuyler Collins from the Berkley School of Music, and voice with master vocal technician Nikki Cukor in New York.For several years I played bass and was lead vocalist for several top drawing bands on the east coast club circuit. I then decided to move on to Los Angeles, to further pursue my music career. I was one of the top ten bass players picked by BILLY SHEEHAN for the MUSICIAN'S INSTITUTE Scholarship Contest. I then attended the well-known school, not only graduating at the top of the class with the VOCATIONAL HONORS AWARD, but also receiving the HUMAN RELATIONS AWARD at M.I. in 1995. This led me to assistant teaching and private instruction at Musician's Institute. Reputation and experience led me to audition for DWEEZIL ZAPPA, STEVE VAI and play with MEGADETH'S, CHRIS POLAND, with whom I had two projects with. The first was a dark innovative, alternative rock band called "MUMBO'S BRAIN", the second was an instrumental Rock/Funk/Jazz/Fusion project which led to us releasing a record called, "CHASING THE SUN"(available @ GROOVEYARDRECORDS.COM and CHRISPOLAND.COM). That project that I started with Chris is now called OHM. Having caught the attention of label exec FRED BROWN at WARNER BROTHERS, I was referred to work with other artists such as STAN WHITAKER, (former guitarist/vocalist for Peter Gabriel and Happy The Man), and VONDA SHEPARD from TV's "Allie McBeal". Since then I've played with WARNER BROS. recording artist, TRACY DAWN, alternative L.A. rock band, PUSH (PUSHTHEBAND.COM), and co-produced and arranged the album, "BURNIN" for ELIZABETH WILLS with producer CHRIS VANTASSEL.I recorded and co-produced an EP with the band WORLDS APART with producer BARRY FAZMAN, recorded the album "CONFESSIONS" with the band JADED (Tina Yothers), and recorded the album "GOOD VIBRATIONS" with L.A.'s Rock/Reggae/Rap/Pop Band SHAKA BUKU(ShakaBuku.com). I also wrote one song and recorded another song for the new album "TRUCE" by singer/songwriter JAMIE GREEN (named by L.A. Music Awards as Best Unsigned Artist), and MOST RECENTLY recorded the album "FALLEN" by WIND UP RECORDS new artists, EVANESCENCE, (learn more @ EVANESCENCE.COM). of which the single "BRING ME TO LIFE" was #1 on BILLBOARD's MODERN ROCK Chart. "FALLEN" recently won TWO GRAMMY AWARDS FOR BEST ROCK PERFORMANCE AND BEST NEW ARTIST AT THE 46TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS IN FEB. 2004 AND HAS SOLD OVER TEN MILLION COPIES WORLD WIDE!!!! (More @ GRAMMY.COM) Also two tracks from "FALLEN" are the soundtrack of BEN AFFLECK's comic book movie "DAREDEVIL"(Winduprecords.com).I'm also currently performing and writing new songs with the band DUDE JONES (DUDEJONES.COM), with guitarist MARK GREGG and drummer MIKE LEWIS. I'm also writing and recording with new L.A. Modern Rock Band ETHIK for a new record that should be completed for Spring of 2006. THAT'S ALL FOR NOW!!!!
