Hey, Im Matiz I grew up in Diamond Bar, CA a small city at the border of Los Angeles and Orange County. I went to school in Diamond Bar until I graduated from middle school, which i then transferred to Brea Olinda High School. From then on out my life has pretty much been in Brea, considering everyone I know and chill with lives there. Since I can remember I have always loved music, my obsession beginning with bands like Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins, then moving on to bands like Interpol and The Vines. Thanks to my brother I loved 80's music which significantly helped taking me down the rabbit hole of the electronic scene. I then found my "Hukka" smoking caterpillar in the form of a group called Infected Mushroom. I was blown away by this genre of electronica I stumbled onto called Psy-Trance. It sooner than later opened the doors to DJ's like Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, and others... Durring the sumer after I graduated high school, I was fully sucked into the electronic world I decided there was only one thing to do, and that was to jump in. So in November of 2006 after months of saving money, I bought my current set up which consist of two Denon 3500 CD Turntables and a Newmark 5000 Mixer. A few rocky months in my life passed but I pulled it together, finally taking eveything DJ wise more seriously in mid-summer 2007. After months and months of practicing and listening I finally found my perfect fitting stlye which came to be Indie/ Electro.... Who doesn't like getting down to some dirty dance beats..
