MySpace CodesPeter Hong’s musical career was conceived in 1999 as he played keyboards and began to produce for Homestyle, a live LA-based hip hop band that performed alongside several respectable artists such as George Clinton and Talib Kweli. In the years since then, Peter’s musical expressions have been heavily influenced by the work of artists such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Earth Wind & Fire, Al Schmitt and Herbie Hancock, and his writing is consistently challenged and honed as a result of his involvement with and membership to the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers. Peter further developed as a producer and engineer at LA’s Cherokee Recording Studios, where he learned under Andy Johns and Sebastian Underwood. Afterwards, he worked in several other studios, including Hollywood’s elite Fourth Street Recording Studio. While there, he came into his own as he was challenged by Jim Wirt, who has produced hits for Hoobastank, Incubus, Fiona Apple, and other successful artists. As his own abilities continued to germinate, he became a member of the Recording Academy’s Producers and Engineers Wing and in 2002 founded Soniq Kwality Productions, a music production company committed to delivering fresh artistic and technical direction for today’s music market. Now Peter sits as a sounding board from behind the sound board as he directs artists into the fullest realization of their musical concepts. Not content to just produce and develop music, Peter launched Kick It to the Kirb Music as his publishing company and Armstead Public Relations as vehicles to publish, promote and serve clients across the entertainment, political, and nonprofit communities. As a result of his artistic and business endeavors, Peter Hong has become the proud entrepreneurial parent of a family of companies, all of which work in tandem to bring musical and other innovative projects full term.Playing keyboards for Pigeon John on FUEL TVPlaying keyboard for Pigeon John on Fox Rox
