:::HERO:::Don’t call me a hero.
A hero is someone that selflessly gives his life for another;
One that gives themselves away for the greater good;
One that defines their actions by a truth greater than them.
A hero is someone that does not fear death;
One who embraces it as a part of life;
One who will exchange their life for what they truly believe in.
A hero is someone that is of unselfish nature;
One who becomes greater than human;
One that lives knowing that there is something bigger than them;If I am lucky I will die in a fire;
If I am lucky I will die in combat;
If I am lucky I will die protecting the life of another,
For giving your life for something above you is one of the most beautiful things one can do.
A hero only exists when their death is not in vane, and their spirit raises from triumph.
If I am so lucky, my blood will be spilled for the freedom of my fellow citizens, family and friends;
And please dare not cry tears of sorrow for they will not bring me back;
Please do not hate God nor the world for what has become of me,
For I will be in great company, in a reserved cloud of saints telling story after story;
I will have been blessed with the title people have tried to bare with my name, but were wrong in doing so;
So dare not shed tears for me but pour wine for me, and celebrate my divine promotion.
Then, and only then, after I have taken my last breath, after I have lived my life from birth to death;
Then you may call me what you think I was in the flesh, for then I will be in the eternal fraternity;
Call me a hero when you last speak to me and I will guard the gates of heaven and continue to serve existence with virtue and excellence.By Anthony J. Toledo
