The Turncoat

Now, to unleash screaming temporal doom!

About Me

I live in Cambridge, UK and I am looking for bandmates. I do vocals and keyboard but I'm also learning to play guitar. My goal: World domination through music! SOON, my minions, SOON!
I love Invader Zim and quote the show relentlessly. I'm the unstoppable death machine, you know.

Largeman: You know that point in your life when you realize that the house that you grew up in isn't really your home anymore? All of the sudden even though you have some place where you can put your stuff that idea of home is gone.Sam: I still feel at home in my house.Largeman: You'll see when you move out it just sort of happens one day one day and it's just gone. And you can never get it back. It's like you get homesick for a place that doesn't exist. I mean it's like this rite of passage, you know. You won't have this feeling again until you create a new idea of home for yourself, you know, for you kids, for the family you start, it's like a cycle or something. I miss the idea of it. Maybe that's all family really is. A group of people who miss the same imaginary place. -- Garden State
Maude: Vice, Virtue. It's best not to be too moral. You cheat yourself out of too much *life*. Aim above morality. If you apply that to life, then you're bound to live life fully. --Ruth Gordon(Maude)in Harold and Maude

"I'm practically bursting with fruit flavour." --Troy Dyer
"You could have a book of hours, kept all your life, that tells how the snow and the sea felt each morning and each night, and it would not be a wasted life." --Catherynne M. Valente
"In other news, goths are no longer considered a threat in the rest of this country since about the 12th century. " --Anonymous
I have often described Interpol as the DENG DENG DENG band. It's as if they were sitting in the studio trying to come up with a guitar riff for this song when one of them said, "How about DENG DENG DENG?" And the other one was all, "But that's the riff from the last song." And the first guy was all, "No that was DENG DENG DENG. This is DENG DENG DENG." And because they were all wearing black eyeliner they could hear the difference. --Heather Armstrong of Dooce
"I will always be the Evil Queen." --Angelina Jolie
"Ive been casually observing the Brooklyn-hipster phenomenon for a while now, and lately Ive noticed an influx of these weirdo guys with hilarious mustaches, matching headbands/wristbands and 70s yellow jogging shorts nut-huggers or whatever and guess what? They score with the girls. Big time. Even over that 64 dude with Cherokee cheekbones who just walked out of an Urban Outfitters catalog. It used to baffle me, but now I think I get it I think these are guys who have just gotten so utterly tired of always being ahead of the curve. I mean, these are the people who wore thrift store sport coats, beatnik glasses, faded ironic metal concert Ts and cool hair like 15 years ago, when it actually meant something. -Back in ancient times when someones style actually reflected something about their personality. -Then one day they wake up and go to a club and EVERY NYU student looks exactly like them. Or theyre in Walgreens killing time waiting for their Xanax prescription and they open People magazine and oh, hey, theres the kid from Home Alone and hes wearing a Strokes t-shirt? -Or they sign on to Myspace to see if their girlfriends cheating on them, and its like 25,000 Ian Curtis clones with angular haircuts staring back at them. So I think, aside from dropping out of society completely and living in the hills, the only logical course of action left for them is to go somewhere with their fashion where they KNOW none of these copycat film students will follow: They start to rock the Retro-Italian-Disco-Buccaneer-Pedophile thing, cuz at least its some kind of statement. At least its their own. And you know what? The ladies who really matter, they know.Footnote: the thin mustache worn by creepy guys who hang out in the park in raincoats will, from this moment on, be referred to as the molestache . it should be feared but also revered. " --Matt Devine of Kill Hannah
"I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me." --Hunter S. Thompson
