About Me

Trenrek (train wreck) started his music career by taking violin lessons at the age of 7. His father helped him along the way to study other instruments such as the fiddle, guitar, bass guitar, drums and the piano. In the 7th grade Trenrek joined the concert band. Bob Rippee began teaching him how to play the trumpet and later Paul Baur taught him how to play the Tuba. Trenrek enjoyed playing in the Concert, Symphonic, Pep and Marching bands. He was heavily involved and highly favored amongst his fellow students. Taking in his knowledge he developed a huge respect and admiration for the level of commitment and skill each instrument required. In 1998 at the age of 16, Trenrek was introduced to the DJ world by one of his good friends, Mike Folk, whos family owns a mobile DJ company at Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. This form of entertainment quickly became an exciting new adventure for Trenrek. He was able to play a larger variety of music to more diverse crowds and still be a part of the music business. He quickly began learning how to piece together his own DJ sound system and was eventually performing for a college fraternity and sorority parties in St. Louis, MO.In 2002, TrenRek was met Jeff Gibbs, who would become the defining influence in his ambition to take his career to the next level. He met Jeff at Shooters 21, Lake of the Ozarks MO, and was able to convince him to teach him the skills needed to be a Top Quality Night Club DJ. Working next to Jeff he was able to broaden his horizons and discover the genre of house and techno music. He loved the way that techno was able to incorporate energy and excitement into an atmosphere and make people enjoy themselves and dance. After working with Jeff for a year TrenRek moved on to St. Louis taking various club gigs wherever he could find them, evolving his style and perfecting his mixing ability, always returning to Shooters 21 for the summer.Later, TrenRek was discovered by Will McCaskill and was employed as the resident DJ for the new club Generic in Columbia, MO. Through the first few months, Will helped him evolve his mixing skills into what he now calls The Infusion; a mix of Top 40s, 70s, 80s and 90s retro fused with a Techno beat. By making this change, he realized how much of a larger group of people he was able to play to. To date, TrenRek remains pationate about his music career but has decided to no longer hold a residency for a while. Due to lack of creativity, he has decided to work some new crowds and listen to other DJ's in order to better himself in the music career. Tour dates will be posted as they are booked!TrenReks influences throughout his career include: Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, DJ Silver, Jeff Gibbs, John Teichman, DJ Irene, Dave Aude and his family. My official website is now active. http://www.djtrenrek.com/

My Interests

All kinds of music and clubs. Traveling around the world would be a great hobby, but right now it is just an interest of mine.

I'd like to meet:

Anybody and everybody!!! I believe that good people deserve to have good friends and everybody has got some good in them. So befriend everybody, and you will always be surrounded by good people and never be alone. But I would really like to meet this girl from "America's Got Talent!!!" She is beautiful, slim, sexy, has an amazing smile, very flexible, great hip movement in the beginning, and she is an exebitionist. I think i'm in love!!!

Music:

I listen to all music. There are certain songs that I like about every genre of music and certain songs I don't like about every genre. I hate boring songs that repeat themselves and I don't care for songs that don't have any energy in them.

Books:

Check it out, myself and my buddy mark webb in pink teddy's trying to do the Salty Dog/Topsider boat race!!!

Heroes:

Of course, the only heroes that I have in my life right now would be my parents, John and Lynn Farrell. They have given me everything in my life to get me where I need to be and their unconditional love and support has helped me to become who I am.
