I have a varying degree of personal interests which include everything from music and philosophy, satire, foreign cultures and films. I am currently on a wild music kick. And naturally, anything having to do with animation or the visual arts...
Please reference heroes...
But I love just about anything: classical, (some) opera, (some) New Age, folk, jazz, blues, bluegrass, Creole, (older) pop, J-pop, rock, hard rock, metal, (some) death metal, J-rock, and so on and so forth...
Long list of randomness; Rosencratz and Guildenstern Are Dead, Dreams (just about anything by Kurosawa,) Benny & Joon, 12 Monkeys, Fight Club, Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail, Jabberwocky, The Princess Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, A Clockwork Orange, Hellraiser, Serenity, Kill!, Ju-on, Life Aquatic, etc.
Most of the old (60's-early 90's) BBC shows (comedy or sci-fi or any combination of the two, like BlackAdder, Dr. Who and Red Dwarf)... a lot of old sci-fi shows (Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, and yes, even Star Trek, I grew up on it after all,) Firefly, and Japanese anime series (Lain, Chobits, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, etc) and The Venture Brothers, Metalocalypse, The Boondocks. Uh... there's more, but my brain is not cooperating.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, American Gods, Neverwhere, Good Omens... The Sandman series, The Hellsing series and Angel Sanctuary graphic novels... Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas... etc.
Friedrich Nietzsche, Neil Gaiman, Kaori Yuki, the ladies of CLAMP, H. R. Giger, Terry Gilliam, Ralph Steadman, Hunter S. Thompson... etc.(Honestly, the list goes on, includes a lot of creative famous dead people, a few living individuals, but mostly a lot of dead people.)
