Movies:
(1) The Wizard of OZ--ok, a bit gay, but this movie has changed my whole life. I still wake up crying from nightmares in which the Wicked Witch of the West is chasing me. Anytime there is lightning I prepare for a tornado. Whenever it is windy out, I like to pretend I am the scarecrow being blown away. Oh, and, like the tin man, I don't have a heart (just kidding!).(2) American Beauty--I love that it showed the dark side of the American Dream and all that suburban angst!(3) Blair Cat--This is a horror film my friend Heidi and I made the summer after my Freshman year of college. The premise is that two students from the University of Wisconsin (Mel and Alex) are studying to be paranormal veterinarians and travel to a city where a little girl died of Cat Scratch Fever. After interviewing townfolk and being warned not to go to the Blair Mansion where the supposed Blair Cat lives, their car brakes down and so naturally they go to stay in the spooky mansion. I don't want to give anything away, but the more they learn, the more they get entangled into this wretched plot of cats, little girls picking flowers, and Russian entertainers.
