About Me

Workingman's Army 1

Add to My Profile | More VideosA Brief History:::Originally started by Ian Greenman and Keegan Duenges in 2003 as a way to get free booze, drummer Travis Faulkner was enlisted to play drums and drink (mostly drink). After choosing to go with the name "Socially Retarded" the prospects of getting laid dwindled as did the first incarnation of the band, with the escape of Travis. The band resurfaced months later with new but old drummer Dave Baker. Dave had not played drums in years and was given a days notice that he was in the band and that we had a show. Dave rose to the challenge and the band was back together, with the new but old name "Delusions of Granduer" (Dave and Ians band in high school). The three drank and played for a while making the club Greens Saloon there home away from home (exept for Ian whose home really was the bar). In Sepember of 2004, Greens closed down and Ian lost his home and convinced Keegan to leave Connecticut FOREVER!!! The two moved up to Burlington VT with high hopes of meeting more musicians and continuing, expanding and taking the band to levels unseen before. Instead we met bank robbers, attempted killers, heartless women, and a slew of the creme of the crop of society (it was a long winter). In spring when working at a failing steak house Ian met Mike Costello. After jamming a few times Mike became the band's full time drummer and a new scheme began to unfold. Soon the relentless pixey Daniel Kordani joined the percussion section and the band took form. For the next few months they were joined by the occasional sax powers of Eric Kinnenburg, and the cool beats of Dj Fat Pat, and Richard Bump, a sick guitarist who's been with the band since the Delusion of Graduer days and playing with Ian since they were lil' kid bitches just learning to play. Still lacking estrogen the band recruited Mary Mahoney for vocals and Rayna Zemel on guitar. A little while back Mike Costello left the band after choking out Ian, Ian's fault by the way. Soon they would meet drummer Mike Labita for an unknowing second time, the first being when Ian got into a fight with his whole house of like eight kids. Mike would make the perfect final addition to the band. Working Mans Army has modest goals to reach like world domination and maybe a party or dive bar gig. Look for us coming to your town and when we do, run for the hills!
