Loving someone is giving them the power to destroy you and trusting them not to.

About Me

I love the outdoors and hate pushiness. I have had a broken heart. . .twice. Sometimes I feel bloated. Midgets and Chuck Norris make me happy. So do thunderstorms, Ireland, sunny days and the ocean . . . Oh, I can't forget shoes, candles, music and sports. Laughing to the point where you spit food, or something comes out of your nose, is the best EVER! I love the person everyone thinks is the weirdo, but not psycho weird, just dancing by yourself no matter who is watching weird.
What Classic Pin-Up Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla
Your Love Life is Like The Princess Bride
"Since the invention of the kiss, there have only been five kisses that were rated the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind."
For you, love is like a fairy tale - albeit a fairly twisted one.
You believe romance is all about loyalty, fate, and a good big of goofy fun.
Your love style: Idealistic yet quirky
Your Hollywood Ending Will Be: Perfectly romantic

My Interests

I want to live and learn everything on those lists of "special skills" that you come across from time to time. I'm not interested in hurting anyone. I'm interested in people more than anything. Watching people is like watching ants and turtles mating. . . only better.

I asked friends and family to describe me in a word. Here is the list: Classy, smiling, expressive, vivacious, warm, complicated, and irrepressible

Music:

I love music. Can't really name a favorite, though Texas Country is at the top. Pretty much any kind of music suits my mood at some point. The best concert I've ever been to is the Eric Clapton guitar festival. It was a great day, superior music, the best date ever, and a fabulous thunderstorm to end it all.

Movies:

Anything indie, foreign, sports related, sappy and (weirdly) romantic, action packed--especially if it involves swords, 80's cheese (John Cusak, I love you), intellectual and thought provoking, that makes me laugh my ass off, or that has male full-frontal nudity.

Television:

Amazing Race, House, CSI, Cold Case, and football. I love other sports too but prefer to watch them in person. That's about it. I don't really have time for anything else.

Books:

I'm a literature Masters student. Books are my life. Poetry makes me melt, as does a good letter. I love lyrics and CD covers. Wanna impress me. . .write me a song. I can pretty much write anything except lyrics.

Heroes:

Strong women everywhere!!! Also, people confronting any kind of adversity who realize that greatness is found in the soul, not in the situation. Jesus Christ, my parents, my grandmother, MLK, Willie Nelson, Margaret Thatcher, Hellen Keller, Amelia Earhart, Mother Theresa, Dian Fossey and many others. They are all heroes in my mind.

Hard times don't create heroes. It is during the hard times when the 'hero' within us is revealed--Bob Riley
