About Me

I'm an extremely large fan of salt. My mom salted my baby food, it's not my fault. I don't really know how I feel about ketchup...let's say we have an open relationship. I'm still seeing other condiments. Like salt. I also really love salmon. Sometimes, I want to be a salmon when I grow up. Or a journalist, whatever comes first. I was raised by a band of lesbians. I love my cowboy boots. I like to drink whiskey. So much, in fact, that I reserve an entire day every week specifically designated for the drinking of whiskey. I like to swear. I like even more to swear in Spanish. My sister had children so I don't have to, and I love them with all my little heart. Thanks, Sis. I like to show off battle wounds and I like even more when I get them. I've been riding motorcycles since I was six years old. My dog is pretty much the most important thing in my life, don't take it personally, I think you're swell, but chances are good that I like my dog more than you. I think that certain things that most people think aren't good for you are actually crucial to my existence. I'm a professional at what I do, so don't question my motives. .. ..

It makes my mind feel mushy. Did you know that orcas have basically the same life timeline as humans? Crazy.

Books:

Reading right now: All The President's Men, Carl Bernstein and Bob WoodwardStill Life With Woodpecker by Tom Robbins is my favorite book of all time. It's great. And I think you're great, but this book is better. Atlas Shrugged, 1984, On The Road are also quintessential works. I thoroughly appreciate existential philosophy, Sartre, Dostoevsky, Camus, even though it twists my mind into contortions that are uncomfortable at the same time incredibly pleasing. And of course Flannery O'Connor, Faulkner, and Ray Bradbury, even though Bradbury is the king of mediocre literary capabilities made up for by ingenious ideas...yeah, I like books. Shut up.

Heroes:

Jon Stewart from The Daily Show, and Tony Morris, my journalism professor from Armstrong Atlantic State U. Two of the most witty and intelligent men in the field of political media commentary; Oli-- International Superhero and Saver of Small Animals, World Traveler and Funky Dancer, Abigail Stansfield--my Goddamn Independent Superhero

It's hot and that's the way I fucking like it.

Seattle rains 250 days out of the year. And one would be somewhat satisfied by this rainy label were it well deserved. But no, Seattle doesn't really rain. Seattle drizzles. Pittsburgh gets more rain ...

I'm from Jersey, that's why.

I think I'm going to walk around Capitol Hill today pretending I'm from Jersey (mostly as an excuse to wear trampy clothing and gold jewelry). I'll color in my beauty mark and bring my pitbull as an a...
