people who savor life, enjoy and/or create art, produce and/or present art, like to laugh and know how to cry

I still watch too much t.v. But I like So You Think You Can Dance and Top Chef in terms of game shows, Nip & Tuck and House for drama shows (not necc. in reruns but when the series is fresh) all kinda sci fi although the only one I've been occaionally watching lately is Heroes.
Three quarters through Karen Armstrong's "History of Myth" and in first chapters of Wole Soyinke's memoir, "You Must Set Forth at Dawn." Mean to re-read "Two Thousand Seasons" this year. Need to find a new novel to get into. The last one was a speculative fiction named "feed." worthwhile. Best novel I've read lately is probably "erasure."
the men in my family, Malcolm /El Hajj Malik El Shabazz, the Mandelas, Ida B. Wells, my friend Michelle, who has faced great loss and pain with grace and courage and stayed human and open, my aunt Mamie- okay this list could go on forever
