About Me

Well first things first, I'm Chris. I'm 17, I live in Craigieburn, I 'study' at Aitken College, I love gaming and music, I work at Maccas (and love it), I'm in a few bands and have a few other projects I'd love to do in future (mostly for fun). I want to own my own business when I’m older. That's the basic jist about me, there's a lot more to me though, which I'm sure you will ALL be interested to read about! Not.
I love Formula 1, been following it since mid 1999. I believe Michael Schumacher is the greatest driver ever to live (7 world championships, cant doubt that). I wanted to follow in his footsteps but was a few years too late. Kimi Raikkonen is Formula 1's best talent at the moment and deserved that 2007 title the most! You're a legend Kimi. Williams will bounce back to their winning ways in a few years, you will see. Mark Webber deserves more in F1 then he has gotten, put him in a Ferrari and watch him turn Formula 1 upside down, GO MARK! V8 Supercars used to be great, until Channel 7 took over and stuffed it up. Craig Lowndes is a legend, respect him! Mark Skaife can go die for all I care. I'm a Ford man through and through. Lamborghini make some of the sexiest machines in the world. The Ferrari 599 is my favorite Ferrari in terms of looks. The Porsche 911 is better then you. My retirement car will be a BMW, BMW make classic cars. The Ford GT-P is what Australian muscle is all about, none of this Holden crap.
Music is a big part of my life, listening or playing. I'm currently in a band which will very soon take over the Melbourne Metal Scene by STORM!!! I hope. Check them out; Lost Entity (in my top friends). Heavy Metal is my favorite type of music, I love all styles of metal, each has something to offer better than the other. Other forms of music are fine, just not that popular on my track list. Commercial radio can go die. Pop and today's rap scene is a joke. SEN 1116 is my radio station of choice (not music but hey, talkback rocks). Great Heavy metal radio shows; Musically Incorrect (12-2am Mondays, 102.7 3RRR) and Full metal Racquet (10pm-1am Tuesdays, 107.5 Triple J). The Offspring are the best band ever. Arch Enemy are one of ym biggest inspirations for taking up and continuing music. Michael Amott is a legend. In Flames are THE meaning of diversity within death metal. If I had to sum up metal in two words = Iron Maiden. I can’t say any more than that, they speak for themselves. Steve Harris is god, but Thomas Haake is the ruler of the universe (and drums). The best gig I’ve been to would be Iron Maiden's Somewhere back In Time tour 2008 (I went to both shows). Best venue to go to a gig; The Hi-Fi bar. Static X are NOT metal. ESP guitars are the best in the world. When I have enough money to get a custom guitar built, I will go to Japan and personally go into ESP and ask them to handcraft my dream guitar.
Video games are something that is close to my heart. I own a PS1, PS2 (2 of each), PS3, Gameboy Color, PSP, N64 and a gaming pc. My favorite gaming series of all time are Metal Gear Solid and Command And Conquer. Other great games are Star Wars Battlefront 2, Gran Turismo, Need For Speed Most Wanted, Red Faction, Counter-Strike, Halo (multiplayer) NHL 2000 (best sports game ever) Crash Bandicoot 3 and more. Grand Theft Auto III is THE best GTA game ever made, I will argue that till death. Spyro The Dragon is the best video game ever created (the Playstation 1 versions), and if you haven't played it, shame on you. Games are better on consoles; they 'feel' like games, doesn't matter how much better they may be on PC technically. Electronic Arts aren't selfish pigs, they are just a really good business :)
I can be a bit of a PC nerd (don't believe me? look at my photo album of my PC). My web browser of choice (as should be yours) is Mozilla Firefox. Intel + Nvidia = winning combo. I love going to and hosting LAN parties with my mates (for the people not in the know, a LAN party is when a group of people bring their computers over and play games for extended periods, mostly 20+ hours). LAN game of choice is Counter-Strike. My Razer mouse may be expensive, but I love it. My Razer mouse pad is overkill, but you will be surprised how I still run out of room!
I have a great group of friends, some closer than others, but there all great. There the type of friends that you can talk to any time you want. I’d put a list here of my friends, but they know who they are, they don't need feature articles on them, cheers guys :) I will however mention my 2 metal brothers, Dean and Stevo, you guys are metal as fuck. Without you 2, metal for me wouldn't be the same.
Never work at Safeway, they don't deserve your slave labor, they are money hungry pigs (but then again which business isn't?). I quit Safeway because I couldn't be bothered with their shit. I made some good friends there though. My favorite place to shop is Cash Converters, shut up! :) My favorite burger at Maccas is a double quarter pounder (and extra meat if I feel like it). The best job in the world would be to test drive exotic and powerful (tuned and non tuned) cars all day. When I leave school I want to own either my gaming/LAN business or a heavy metal store, and become richer then you. Wanna add me on msn feel free; [email protected] BUT NO NOOBS!!! Noobs.

My Interests

Gaming (including online), Music (play in a few bands), Computers, Collecting Vinyl's (best way to listen to and appreciate music in my opinion) Sleeping, Eating, playing games with mates (particularly LAN), Watching movies, Formula 1/Motorsport

Top 3 Albums Of All Time
Seasons In The Abyss - Slayer
Doomsday Machine - Arch Enemy
Soundtrack to your Escape - In Flames

Quick note on Soundtrack to your Escape, for some reason or another and I don't know why, anytime I listen to ANY part of the album (or In Flames for that matter), even for 5 seconds I get really emotional, I sopose its one of those albums that really represented a certain time in my life were everything (or what I was doing) was fucking perfect...it remains my most personal album and I think it always will, the time in question is the first half of 2006.

If I had to choose 3 milestone songs in my music world, it be these;
The Offspring - Come out and Play
Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
Arch Enemy - Ravenous

Dream Band

Vocals - ZP Theart (Dragonforce) Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden)

Guitars - Michael Amott (Arch Enemy, Carcass) Jari Maenpaa (Wintersun)

Bass - Steve Harris (Iron Maiden)

Keyboards - Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish, For My Pain...)

Drums - Tomas Haake (Meshuggah)

Movies:

Star Wars (all 6 of them), any Adam Sandler movie, Die Hard Series, The Matrix Trilogy, Schindlers List, James Bond series, Saving Private Ryan, The Prestige, The Illusionist, Pirates Of Silicon Valley, L4YER CAKE, Lock stock and two smoking barrels, Goodfellas, Scarface, any Michael Moore doco and various other comedy/action/gangsta films.

Just a quick note on Schindlers List, it was the first movie that genuinely made me cry, moved me, and actually made me go out and research the movie more, its powerful stuff, rent it at least.

Television:

Motorsport (Formula 1, V8 Supercars, A1 Grand Prix, Moto GP), The Simpsons, Late Show With Dave Letterman, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Chaser, CNNNN, News, Infomercials, a good late night movie, Water Rats, The L Word, Answers With Bayless Conley, CSI, South Park, Frasier, Seinfeld.

Books:

Playstation Magazines (I subscribe, haha), Atomic Magazine, The Tomorrow Series, War + Crime Books.

Heroes:

Don't really have any heroes, friends and family are always nice to put here though, so them. Michael Amott also, he's just an amazing guitarist. There are attributes of my mates I admire, weather its Deans hair, Matt's glasses or Josh's tallness :) haha. Seriously though, my mates rock. Also, a quick shout out to my cousin Jackie, for being so fucking metal! Love you :D Also to Renee, for just being the best chick in the world! Love you more xoxo :)

Helloween - I Want Out (now this is how you do a video clip to a song, comedy gold in a light-hearted sense, but Helloween are a funny bunch, my favourite clip of all time).

Arch Enemy - Revolution Begins (dont get me wrong, Arch Enemy are awesome, I pretty much masterbate to them all the time, but I cant help but notice how unintentionally cheesy this video clip is haha, maybe its just me. BTW Michael Amott is Jesus (not God...that title belongs to Tomas Haake)
