BIOGRAPHY:
"I can only think big... As I'm traveling, I pass all boundaries and expectations through my music. I realize the sky is not my limit if I am soon to be among the stars."- H.B. MONTE
This statement exemplifies the drive and determination that together makes H.B. MONTE an entertainer whose potential for greatness is evident in all that he has done and all that he is to succeed. His multi-faceted talent as a rapper, producer, DJ and songwriter is taking the entertainment industry by storm. H.B.’s infectious, raw energy, rhythmic flow and melodic beats are captivating audiences around the globe and securing him a spot as music's new upcoming artist.
H.B. Monte’s earliest childhood influences date back to James Brown, LL Cool J, Kurtis Blow, and Tupac . His dedication and love for music became evident at a young age and he was able to incorporate his passion and talent in order to rise above struggles and economical hardships. By the age of nine, H.B. Monte had already begun writing rhymes and spinning records. His diverse ethnic background has had a strong influence on his music. His African, Latino and European background have exposed him to various genres of music and has directly inspired his innovative style. These ethnic attributes and tough life lessons throughout his upbringing have helped H.B. to formulate his sound and has supplied his music with a level of relatability that is the essential component of awe-inspiring music of today. By listening to some of his breakthrough tracks such as “Throw Ya G Upâ€, “Hood Fly†and “Crazyâ€, it is evident that what H.B. Monte has to offer the music industry is unique and truly sets him apart from the rest.
Global radio play, television appearances, club performances, motion pictures; H.B. is determined to have it all. His popularity grew in 2002 when he performed with Ludacris during a radio station event in Boston and with Fabolous at various venues in Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He also created and headlined “Havok Hourâ€, a critically acclaimed hip-hop radio show on WBRU 95.5 FM in Providence, Rhode Island. By 2004, H.B. Monte’s songs had received syndicated radio play on international radio and had a live appearance on the CBS Sunday Morning Show. H.B. also featured on a number of corporate and event mix CDs including Def Jam's “We Gets Busyâ€, “Scion Extravaganzaâ€, Star and Buckwild's “Imperial Voyage of Hate†and Funkmaster Flex's “Birthday Bash at the Roxyâ€.
In 2006, H.B., previously known as "Hav-Boy", internationally toured with top recording artists of Infamous G-Unit. In 2007-08, he executive produced "Can I Speak to Biggie" (produced by Chris Ward and Joe Bravo of the Individuals) which featured Bizzy Bone, Bobby Valentino, Maino and DTP recording artist Chingy. The song was a dedication to Notorious B.I.G., marking the 10th anniversary of his death. While he was coordinating the artists for the song he also organized a phone conference with artists Jadakiss and Mase who have not spoken since they were artists together on Bad Boy Entertainment. He recently hosted a Promotional CD for a major motion picture called "Illegal Tender" (with the lead actor Rick Gonzalez and the Reggaeton superstar Tego Calderon) which featured some of H.B.’s own songs. His other feature accomplishments include "Poppin Remix" (a 2006 international Chris Brown remix produced by Great Scott), and “Get Up Get Up†featuring Redman (produced by Rockwilder). H.B. is also branching upward and outward from his musical talents and is currently in the process of finalizing a ringtone deal in 2008, which will carry exclusive mobile phone ringtones, wall papers, and ringback tones. He is also making his mark in the television and film industry by working on upcoming projects such as a potential television host for a show entitled "What's Cooking" and participation in a documentary and short film with the film company Snow Bird Films.
The elaborate and broad range of accomplishments H.B. Monte has established during his musical career is both impressive and ever-growing. He is climbing toward stardom and has both the drive and determination to take the industry to astonishing heights. This fortitude not only marks the heart of a true artist but also signifies the beginning of a new and unstoppable force that is not to be reckoned within the hip hop music industry.
