How can anyone describe themselves without sounding egomaniacal? A strange task indeed, yet, I will make the daunting attempt... Let me begin with what feeds my soul most. Although the obvious choice would, of course, be music. There is, in all honesty, another answer that provides a greater sense of personal reward. For me, life is about meeting, learning and experiencing new people. My voice, is my instrument. It is my communication medium. I am what you would call "people obsessed". My love affair with traveling and interacting with those from all walks of life, is in fact what defines who I am. Perhaps in some part due to my eclectic background, I am intrigued and inspired by the endless cultural eccentricities that create our world. With my voice, I yearn to engage and connect. To bring as many cultures, and lives together through music- that is my ultimate goal. I will say, for me personally, music truly is the "universal language". It has the timeless ability to unite regardless of color, creed or borders.As a singer/ songwriter I have been fortunate enough to collaborate with the extremely talented ES Posthumus. With the 2008 album release of "Cartographer" I believe I have found my path. Given the chance to sing in a secret/ancient tongue, I believe this music has a universal appeal. This to me, was the ultimate sign. No matter where you are from, or what language you speak- the words and sounds will resonate within you. That- is what I believe music has the potential to do. Upon hearing "Cartographer," I hope, you too can see how a language unknown to you can blend seamlessly with an orchestra- creating a musical experience unlike any other.I look forward to meeting you all one day.
