I'm 23 and just moved to NYC! It's crazy so far, and there's definitely some good and some bad in any move. I miss my family and friends for sure, but part of the fun is getting to make new friends and experience a new part of the world. I'm all for adventures and this is a pretty big one. Bring it on!
At present my new job is consuming my life, but it's all good. I'm the assistant director of a telecommunications and electronic-media thinktank within Columbia Business School, which, as dorky as it sounds, is actually pretty cool because I get a preview of the future world.
As for the rest of my life, it kind of follows suit; I often find myself searching for some greater understanding of our world. I know that sounds totally bizarre and "out there," but don't be freaked out. It's hard to put into words what I mean, but I'm constantly imagining where our world is headed and am really curious about concepts like the meaning of life. For me, it's not a religious pursuit but a philosophical one.
I also am addicted to baseball, I think. More specifically, I'm addicted to anything Oakland A's-related. In my opinion, they're a great team to love: a classic underdog that wins under the constraints of a low payroll.
I love to learn new stuff, as nerdy as that sounds. What I mean is that I've realized that there is so much information out there, so much knowledge to acquire that I'd better start now if I want to take it all in. Haha, yea I know that's impossible, but it just is cool to have someone teach you something; particularly something they're passionate about.
Last but not least, I love to spend time with friends and laugh, talk shit, brainstorm on whatever or just chill out. I also love to travel, meet new people, play music (saxophone is what I play most often though I'm starting to play around with the guitar) and listen to it, to watch movies, to go out and party, and to just have a great time in whatever I do.
