Shooting for the stars in the entertainment world, the Decatur, GA native multi-talented Jaron Gills is reaching for the top of the charts while pursuing higher education. Gills, also known to the music world as “J Gillsâ€, is currently a Dramatics/Speech and Vocal Performance major at the prestigious Fisk University in Nashville, TN. “What better place to train myself to become a top artist in the music industry than Music City, USA?†Jaron’s talent however does not stop in the music area. He is an excellent songwriter and a highly skilled actor performing in various plays in the Nashville area. J Gills has been an accomplished musician for six years but surprisingly did not discover his talent for singing until the age of sixteen. “Music has always been a passion of mine, but early on I wanted to be a chemical engineer or lawyer. I have accomplished gospel singer L’Tanya Moore and Nathan Grigsby of Southwest DeKalb High School to thank for helping me bring that talent out.†This talent is more than evident in his first single “I Wanna C,†which he released in December 2007. The song made its first radio debut in February on Fisk University’s WFSK 88.1 radio station. You can also find J Gills on DJ Black Bill Gates radio podcast on the song “Lil Buddy†by Montana Da Mac. He plans to become a professional entertainer working to make a huge impact on the music industry with his creative ambitions.
