What makes a great band? The ability to withstand the daunting changes of time, perhaps? Maybe its a star quality in the performers themselves. Through the test of time and style, the members of Patron Falls are on top of their game, once again.
The 4 Metro-Atlanta area musicians are best described as a musical phenomenon, a rare quality in the music industry today. The quartet met and started their musical journey in late 1998. Exploring over nearly every style of music, the band quickly become a crowd favorite by performing songs that appealed to everyone in the audience.
The musical genius of the group was no easy task, as the band recalls. When we first started, we were all pretty terrible (laughs). As the years went on, we became so familiarized with our style of playing that our chemistry as a band just formed naturally around us. And not a word of that is short of the truth.
Theres an easy air of confidence as the band takes the stage, and it only gets better from there. Each song captures the ears and the very soul of the listener. The group takes you riding on a roller coaster of music and feeling, and before you know it, the high-energy set has ended. The music takes a deeper plunge as we explore a darker, more mysterious side of ourselves with the explosive and enticing lyrics that surround these musical landscapes. And just to top things off right, the quartet brings the audience to a even higher level as the music escalades into a quick, upbeat, chest thumping that sends the audience to its feet, roaring for the encore.
So what makes these guys so special, you may ask. Is it their endurance of time, or their remarkable talent, or perhaps their humbleness toward it all? I believe the one thing that sets this group apart like no other is the fact that they have never released an album! The band has done 1 Demo Compilation Album in their some 8 years of existence. Odd, you might say, but I say genius. The largest predator lies dormant until the time to strike. Patron Falls has deliberately steered cleared of the studio, until now.
In May of 2007, the group announced its plans to write and record their debut album, stating, The time has come to mix our musical backgrounds and genres of music to create something in which time will remember. In early August, Patron Falls addressed their fans, stating that the album was finished being written and they were now looking for the right producer to take on the task. Fans were going wild, trying to obtain leaks of the album demo online, to no success, as the band is very private and take extreme measures to make sure the songs they so handily craft are not obtained in their unfinished form.
The mystery that revolves around the album is so arousing that the band has even gained die-hard fans before the first record sold! With the new catalogue of songs at their hands (supposedly a whopping 25!), Patron Falls is sure to keep the fans and gain many, many more with the release of the mystery album.
