Outer Child

We're Outer Child!!! We're a band!!! We make music for, by, and with the young and the young at heart.... Soon I will be posting some recordings of our first Outer Child show featuring me (Emilie), my friends Rob Jost and Rob DiPietro and a bunch of kids singing and playing piano, nord electro keyboard, xylophone, melodica, percussion, drums, kazoo, harmonica, etc.. Our ever-growing repertoire includes songs I've written, songs the kids have written, songs by Jesse Harris, Bill Frisell, Bob Dylan, Real Live Show, Bob Marley, and Thelonius Monk, folk songs, blues, free improvisations, and conductions. In the meantime, the recordings currently posted on this page are of kids playing solo piano (improvisations, classical pieces, original compositions) and of kids playing duets with me or sitting in with my band downtown.
