About Me

SONICAUDIO were formed in Summer 2004. Their music is guitar based with dirty electro beatz and rhythmic vocals, live pounding bass lines, groove driven drums and decks:: They define the up & coming alternative, indie electro-dance crossover movement. Offering a much-welcomed antedote to the current new wave bands & angular guitar pop.All the band come from Leicester UK, except from guitarist Jonn who is from SanDiego:: Two of the SONICAUDIO members, Kav (vocals/guitar) & Mikey (bass), were previously in AKA Weave, the band who captured the sound of indie anthems mixed with DJ samples & dirty-dance bass lines back in 2000, and were supported by several of the UK indie set.The band toured their own club-nights cross the UK Grooveharder & Impossible, all of which AKA Weave headlined. Clint Boon (Inspirals/ XFM), Mani (Primal Scream/Stone Roses), Shaun Ryder & Bez (Happy Mondays) all supported the band by coming to DJ at their nights.The band split in 2003 & Kav moved on to launch his extremely successful GETLOADED Club nights at Turnmills which went on to become a 20,000 person festival Getloaded In The Park on Clapham Common. Kav, Jonn (guitar) & Mikey went on to join the Happy Mondays in summer 2004 and since then have toured Europe, Japan, the UK & have just spent the last year in the studio recording the new hugely anticipated Mondays album.SONICAUDIO have been building underground under since early 2004 and has attracted a huge fanbase, hungry for the dirty beats & indie riffs.Summer 2005 saw the band play two 2 stages at Glastonbury festival, playing between The Rakes & British Sea Power on the Leftfield Stage & at the last minute taking Carl Barats slot on the Poptones stage.With the band off touring as DJs across Europe, Asia, Japan & Australia theyve been dropping SONICAUDIO tracks to an international club audience, to an often ecstatic crowd reaction!Based on the success of these reactions and with growing requests from fans, the time has come to get the music out there.SONICAUDIO will be releasing 2 downloads in Summer/Autumn 2006 with a EP set for early 2007.
