Peeking?

About Me

TO LAUGH OFTEN AND MUCH, TO WIN THE RESPECT OF INTELLIGENT PEOPLE AND THE AFFECTION OF CHILDREN, TO EARN THE APPRECIATION OF HONEST CRITICS AND ENDURE THE BETRAYAL OF FALSE FRIENDS, TO APPRECIATE BEAUTY, TO FIND THE BEST IN OTHERS, TO LEAVE THE WORLD A BIT BETTER, WHETHER BY A HEALTHY CHILD, A GARDEN PATCH... TO KNOW EVEN ONE LIFE HAS BREATHED EASIER BECAUSE YOU HAVE LIVED. THIS IS TO HAVE SUCCEEDED!

My Interests

www.bacausa.com

I'd like to meet:

I like positive & confident people who can let go and relax and have a good time. Smiling a lot helps. A genuine interest in people other than yourself is a very admirable quality that I find immensely attractive. Someone who is aware of the pain and suffering of others and wants to do something to make things better. An appreciation for arts & humanities or some kind of keen aesthetic sense of style is a BONUS and will be rewarded. With green M & M's.

Music:

Imogen Heap, St. Vincent,Coldplay, The Pipettes, Emiliana Torrini, Everything But the Girl, They Might Be Giants, Counting Crows, REM, Queen, Indigo Girls, David Bowie, Sinead O'Conner, The Killers, The Cure, The Smiths/Morrissey, Candie Payne, Dinosaur Jr, Adam and the Ants, The Rakes, Annuals, Elvis Costello, Nirvana, The Commodores/Lionel Richie, Arcade Fire, Soul to Soul, The White Stripes, The Breeders, ELO, Nine Inch Nails, Cocteau Twins, Black Crowes, U2, Lenny Kravitz, Tracy Chapman, Echo & The Bunnymen, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, kd lang, Peter Murphy, Sarah McLaughlin, The The, Chris and Cosey, Adam Ant, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, Blondie, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Specials, De La Soul, Harry Connick Jr., Van Morrison, Michelle Shocked, Thom Yorke, Mazzy Star/Hope Sandoval anything, Concrete Blonde, Patsy Cline, Sam Cooke, Velvet Underground, Bjork, Outkast, Annie Lennox, Mogwai, Sufjan Stevens, Tears for Fears, and, of course, KISS. (lol) My first concert was Rick Springfield at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman in 1983, so I should also add him. ..

Movies:

The Wizard of Oz, Stealing Beauty, Days of Heaven, From Dusk until Dawn, Sex Lies & Videotape, The Piano, Sid and Nancy, Drowning by Numbers, The Hunger, Unfaithful, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Trainspotting, Xanadu (lol), Out of Africa, City of Angels, The Shining, Four Weddings and A Funeral, An American Werewolf in London, Dangerous Liaisons, The Goonies, Breakfast Club, Damage, Like Water for Chocolate, Sixteen Candles, The Outsiders, As Good as It Gets, The Lost Boys, Hope Floats, Almost Famous, Stealing Home, Willie Wonka, Pulp Fiction, Lost in Translation, The Graduate, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Cinema Paradiso, Desperado, Labyrinth, Greystoke Legend of Tarzan, Saved, Drowning by Numbers, The Wedding Singer, Party Monster, Gia, White Squall, What Dreams May Come, all the Harry Potters, all the Lord of the Rings, to name a few. ..

Television:

I am loving the HBO series "Big Love".. think it is the most clever television show to come along in AGES. Otherwise, here is the regular list: Cribs, Mr. Bean (the series from the UK), some reality tv, E! True Hollywood Story, HGTV's Gardening By the Yard, news, America's Next Top Model, Entertainment Tonight, Letterman if I'm up that late. ..

Books:

I subscribe to Star Magazine (luv my smut), San Diego Home and Garden, and Mary Englebreit Home and Garden, and I pick up a copy of the Bike Trader every week. But books.. hmmmm... Some of my favorites include, but are not limited to: The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Little Prince, To Kill a Mockingbird, Oklahoma Gardener's Guide, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, and The Boy Who Saw True. For kicks and a laugh, I always fall back on The Secret Life of Adrian Mole, Aged 13 and 3/4. There are several of them in that series. Riot. I have all the Potter books and have read them each several times. Have all the Oz and Narnia books as well. Children's books are sometimes so much better than adult books. And the pictures are great! ..
