Directors I like are much easier than specific films - Scorsese, early Coppola (eg The Conversation), Godard (again, early before socialism kinda made everything go weird), Rosselini, Visconti (Death in Venice should be watched by every living human being as a testament to the beauty of mortality), Spike Lee (even when he's bad, he's still good). I studied film, I voraciously consume high and low culture (American Ninja is HIGH CULTURE, YOU CLOD) so if you wanna talk film I'm your man (as Leonard Cohen would say) ...
