About Me

..
I am people that know people.
*singing* Nate, Nate, had no date! Had to stay home and masturbate!
Wait.....mmmmm.....nevermind....
Music makes the world go 'round. Without music life would be a horrible chasm of Vogon poetry and reruns of Sister, Sister. I would like my contribution to music to be both active and supportive. Meaning, I would like to create as well as being one who helps create.
I am a man of many interests. If one were to call me a Renaissance man that would be an insult as a Renaissance Man is lazy and uninspired in my eye. I'm more like a SUPER Renaissance man. Like Newton or Adam Corolla except, you know, hot.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Allow me to sum up my childhood...
It amuses me how superficial and narcissistic MySpace makes one's self. Just like the song goes "Let's talk about ME, ME, ME, ME, ME, ME". I guess that's the point really. I mean, they DID call it MYspace. Not YOURspace. Hmm... Perhaps I will create MySpaces evil cousin. YOURspace.com
Captian's quote-log, stardate 11:
"we can't run from who we are. Our destiny chooses US." -The shiva
"Love me because you can, not because you should." - Charlotte Martin
"But WHY is the rum gone?" - Captian Jack Sparrow
"Normal is just a setting on the dryer." - Some dude
"We are but men...ROCK!" - Tenacious D
"I am an idea factory." - Nate
"I disagree with you politically" - Nate
"Déme más GASOLINA!" - Daddy Yankee
"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice, and most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." - Steve Jobs
"The irony of commitment is that its deeply liberating in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life." - Anne Morriss
"I don't love what's, I love Who's" - Kristen
"Employee of the month is a good example of how somebody can be both a winner and a loser at the same time." - Some dude
"I am just an ordinary guy....burning down the house!" - Talking Heads
"Make it work!" - Tim Gunn

Here's a few just to make me sound cooler: The Cure, Weezer, Metallica, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Green Day, D12, The Refreshments, The Louies, Nirvana, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Colin Hay, Garden State Soundtrack, Coldplay, Rugar, Augustana, Low Millions, Courtney Jaye, No Kill I, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Alanis, Counting Crows, The Shins, NIN, System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine, The Minibosses, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Ozone, Rehab, and Your MOM!

JEOPARDY!

Books:

Currently reading:
The last great book I read was Real Money by Jim Cramer. Great advice for those thinking of putting money in the stock market.
Here's a quote from The Bell Jar that stuck out for me - "...I saw my life branching out before me like the green fig tree in the story. From the tip of every branch, like a fat purple fig, a wonderful future beckoned and winked. One fig was a husband and a happy home and children, and another fig was a famous poet and another fig was a brilliant professor, and another fig was Ee Gee, the amazing editor, and another fig was Europe and Africa and South America, and another fig was Constantin and Socrates and Attila and a pack of other lovers with queer names and offbeat professions, and another fig was an Olympic lady crew champion, and beyond and above these figs were many more figs I couldn't quite make out. I saw myself sitting in the crotch of this fig tree, starving to death, just because I couldn't make up my mind which of the figs I would choose. I wanted each and every one of them, but choosing one meant losing all the rest, and, as I sat there, unable to decide, the figs began to wrinkle and go black, and, one by one, they plopped to the ground at my feet."
Here are a couple of my favorites: Fast Food Nation, A Walk in the Woods, Lies My Teacher Told Me, Culinaria, Forrest Gump, The Dacinci Code, High Fidelity.

Heroes:

Alton Brown, John Cusak, Kevin Smith, Homer Simpson, Jack Bauer!.
"Superman has Jack Bauer pajamas."
