From the ruins of the Loads and the Bad Vibrations, comes Disaster Channel.
With the Loads emergence on the scene in 2001, the band would go on to play all over Southern California with the likes of the Dead Kennedys, the Vibrators, U.S. Bombs, Kottonmouth Kings, the Stitches, Sylvain Sylvain (NY Dolls), Youth Brigade, Smogtown, and many others. Recorded when the band was only 13 years old, the Loads were signed to Pelado Records for their debut 7" "Beach Banshee" in 2002, featuring Tim of Smogtown fame on drums. Consisting of Static (Drums), Ryan (Lead guitar), Chris (vocals/bass), and Cooks (rhythm guitar), the Loads played the Whisky Ago Go, Galaxy Theatre, Coach House, Showcase Theatre, and Chain Reaction among others.
Following the demise of the Loads in 2003, Static and Chris formed the Bad Vibrations soon after. The Bad Vibes new-wave-soaked track "No Beach Access" was featured as the opening track on Hostage Records' "Collateral Damage" compilation.
Seven years after their first performance, Static, Ryan, and Chris have emerged as Disaster Channel. With their full length debut already being recorded, Disaster Channel will be touring across the country in 2008...slamming guitars in your face till you understand.
