I am L’Mer Quant’ez Owens aka MARACKUE’LUZ. I was born June 23, 1980 in the Blue Grass state of Kentucky. My interest in Hip Hop Rap music began at a very young age. I began writing lyrics and rhyming in grade school my first album was The Roots and Outkast. In my Junior year of high school, I was attacked by at least 45 grown men and suffered from a severe head injury which nearly ended my life.I died when I was put the ambulance and I died again when they was taking me out. Only by the grace of God I was brought back from a coma, to fulfill my purpose whitch is to be one of the best emcees to ever touch the MIC. This is my life! Without Hip Hop I don't see a reason to live other than my wife and kids. Some of my greatest influences have been The Roots, Outkast, Heltah Skelth, Black Star and Slum Village as well as Eminem and Royce Da 5'9……..MIRACULOUS was my recovery….MARACKUE'LUZ is my future!!………I’ve been told my original lyrics cause the listener to stop and ponder; to experience my energy and compelling personae is thrilling. I am an up and rising talent, penning my lyrics to original beats…striving to be a breath of fresh air in this established field of music where many seek to imitate. My music is my PASSION! It's like seeing your child take their first step or better yet, hearing yourself on a hot track and knowing you gave it your all. The musiq made me so know I plan to bring back real lyricisum and real emceeing to the forfront were it should be. I have performed at clubs and events in Louisville including on Broadway at the Kentucky Derby; Illinois and Kentucky college concerts; at clubs in Madisonville, Owensboro and other cities as well as being in the MTV battles and meeting Diddy,Fat Joe,LL Cool J and Ms India Irrie.
