I like hanging out n gettin toasted. Goin to raves & meeting people. I love spinning poi (with and without fire)and singing. Altho not at the same time...yet. I like figuring things out, as in learning to do new stuff, but Ive got a really short attention span so if it doesnt catch my interest I wont bother. Im gettin into bellydancing, with some help from my friends, Im a member of the Aaminah Belly Dancing Troupe, Im the honourary member cuz I dont belly dance yet, I just do the singing and fire show.. Im a hippy as I said so Im all for preserving Mother Earth & against animal testing..I hate living in ireland cuz its a smelly shithole and its full of scum!!! At some point in the future Im gonna travel, I dont think Ill ever find the place I wanna be tho, cuz Im fairly sure it doesnt exist..
Ill talk to anyone, provided theyre not liars or thieves. Not big into two faced people either. So once you rule them and the ones who think goin out to start fights is cool, I guess Im left with people more on my level. If thats you cool, if youre one of the others then move on-there aint nothin for ya here..
I like all kinds of most things, it all depends on what mood Im in.. I sing, so I gotta love chick singers... Ani Di Franco, PJ Harvey, Bjork, Tori Amos, and Kate Bush. My ex boyfriend & good friend Ian gave me an education in metal and grunge..So Sepultura have now crept into regular listening-Soulfly too,& SYSTEM OF A DOWN!!!! I love them!! Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Deftones,Theres chilled out stuff, Godspeed, Ken Ishii, DJ Shadow, Hyrbid, Apocolyptica, Zero 7, all that kinda malarkey was pleasantly suprised by Slipknots last album... Gothy stuff- NIN, The Cure, Faith & The Muse, VNV Nation...Its been a while since I went out with any goths tho..Dunno if The Gathering count as goth but that girls got some voice!! It would prob be easier to list what I dont like, which is most things labelled "progressive" or "pop".. I like techno, but not enough to buy, not quite sure what Im lookin for if I go out lookin for it, but Ill know if I hear it..Speedy J, Aphex Twin, Autechre, Laurent Garnier.. used to know a few ppl who said theyd make me some CDs but they never did (Ramon ya fecker!!) any suggestions welcome!! OOOh and Pentaphobe...Been dancin round my room to him for months...
Hmmm, where to start. Alien trilogy(lets willingly omit that resurrection shite), Lord Of the Rings trilogy, Hellraiser series(well 1-3), Fifth Element, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Human Traffic, The Jay & Silent Bob movies, Girl-Interrupted, Almost Famous, Ring(Japanese Version)& Dark Water, Ichii The Killer, Akira, 28 Days Later, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, Shaun of the Dead, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Memento, Amelie, Good Morning Vietnam, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (that movie blew me away-its the first movie to actually truly touch me for years) theres definately more Im forgetting, Im terrible at listing things off... And also-its not quite movies but I want this in here-Im a big Chris Cunningham fan, he and Richard D James are geniuses, I love both their work and their work together!!!
SPACED this was the best sitcom ever... well actually, maybe not, itd be up there with Red Dwarf anyway. Im also big into HBO dramas like Oz, Sopranos, Six Feet Under. And LOST...its gotten me over my Oz withdrawals.. Im quite fond of my telly... Shes seen me through some immense boredom..Where do comedians fit in here?? Theres a tv and a movies section but nothing about comedians? I just wanted to add the three kings of comedy, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard and the late great Bill Hicks-too good to not be mentioned
Imreally bad for reading I have to admit.. LOTR, Discworld, Biographys..Was reading American Scream, but Ian got me the Kate Bush bio for Xmas so Ill be reading that!!!
Ani Di Franco, the most Righteous of Babes.Aphex Twin-the guys a legend!Rachel Brice and Sharon Kihara-the things those girls can do, theyre amazing!!I guess anyone who has the guts to go out there and do something that they believe in no matter how big the risks...
