You, [long pause] will be the first to know. -CSI, Horatio Kane (played by David Caruso, CSI: Miami)

About Me

I grew up in McMinnville, OR. I graduated from McMinnville Highschool in 2002. I was recruited to play Division 1 softball for Columbia University. I spent 2 years living in New York City. I had more life experiences during those 2 years than most people have in a lifetime. While attending Columbia I studies Psychology and Political Science, but my heart wasn't in it. I knew all along that I wanted to have a family and the career I was pursuing would have interferred with that. I returned to Oregon in 2004, it was so refreshing to smell clean air and see all the greenery. I never thought I would miss it--boy was I wrong. In July of 2005 I connected with my future husband, Adam Drew. We had a long history together and little did we know that in a few months we would realize our destiny. I found out I was pregnant in February 2006. Adam and I married in May 2006. We kept the sex of our baby a surprise and on October 12, 2006 our precious little boy was born. We named him Parker Adam Drew. I started working at Starbucks in July 2006. I am still currently employed by Starbucks and was recently promoted from Barista to Shift Supervisor, with a substantial raise. Starbucks is a great company to work for and I couldn't be happier with my job. Between Adam and I we are always with our son, which is great...we never have to worry about him being with some stranger or not being taken care of. I plan to stay with Starbucks until I can become a store manager and ultimately I would like to go back to school for Business/Marketing and obtain a corporate position with the company. Until then, I just take things one day at a time. I am so thankful for the path my life has taken, I couldn't ask for anything more.....

Music:

I love all types of music....from the obscure to the over-played, I am open to giving anything a shot!

Movies:

I love to watch movies that make you think, I am a huge fan of independent films. My favorite movie of all time is Requiem for a Dream. I also love ridiculous comedies....anything with Will Ferrel is great!

Television:

Heroes, CSI, CSI: Miami, CSI: New York, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Dirt, Damages, House, American Idol, Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, ER, NCIS, Numbers, 24, Entourage, Deadwood, SNL, Good Eats, Next Food Network Star, Sunset Tan, Real World, Real World/Road Rules Challenge, Chelsea Lately, The Soup, Weeds, Boston Legal and I am sure there are more.

Books:

I love to read books about Psychology, fiction or non. A few of my favorites include: "Bitch" and "Prozac Nation" both are written by Elizabeth Wurtzel and are truly profound, I also found "Sybil" by Flora Reta Schriber to be an intense read, it's not for the light-hearted, as it's disturbing true story of a women with 16 separate personalities.

Heroes:

My mom is my number one hero, she is where she is today because she was a strong single mother with great determintation. She had no help from anyone and is a successful business woman and mother today. Knowing that I always have someone to turn to for help if I need it or just to talk is the greatest comfort I could ask for. I admire my little brothers and sisters too, watching them grown and develop has been so fun and educational for me as a mom. I admire my step-dad Doug too, he has given my family so much and because of him my brother and I had everything we could have ever asked for growing up. I know it wasn't easy for him to take in 2 children that weren't his own, that came from a broken home with their share of emotional baggage, but he did it. Though we had our differences I know now how important a role he played in our lives and I am so thankful for my mom meeting him.
