We all say things or hear sayings that stay with us. One of my favorites was from my dad who grew up in Texas. He would say "It's a great life if you don't weaken". I had a boss who would say "see you all of a sudden" Same boss different saying,"like the monkey said when the train ran over his tail, won't be long now. I have decided to start collecting these great gems. I am a treasure hunter who is willing to share. Share with me your old, new, favorite or not so favorite sayings. Some maybe quotes, you can identify where the saying originated. Others will just be something you treasure but do not know where the gem came from.I will share one of my favorites. When asked How are you doing my reply is "I am getting what I deserve". I'd like to meet:

Individuals who are more focused on their own journey and not the direction leaders take us. Sustainable living. I want to hear from you and that special spot of you that we all have. As much as we are alike does not take away that beautiful individual that you are.

Music:

All music. Music is everywhere. All people have music. It is the fiber that connects all of us. In that music comes some great thoughts and sayings. Half of inch of water and you thought you were going to drown. I could have a thousand more friends and all I would have to do would be change my point of view.

Movies:

Quirky Movies... Everything is Illuminated and so on

Television:

The Wire I think was one of the best dramas on TV ever. They would start their show with a quote from the present episode. "A lie is not a side of the story, it is just a lie." Going to keep the devil down in the hole.

Books:

No Country for Old Men and The Road are two that have taken over me. No country for old men gets deep into the Texas culture and brings out gems deep in the country.

Heroes:

Everyone trying to do the right thing. Heroes are not only the ones who have achieved but also the one who are achieving. Someone who truly does a good thing and does not tell anyone about it.
